Brilliant story!

It all depends on how bad the chip is. If you get it repaired, make sure you get it done professionally as a badly repaired chip can look worse than the original damage. At a guess, it should cost no more than £50-£100 to repair properly. I would have thought a replacement wing would be more?

Or you could leave it a while as it's not going to rust, wait and see if you pick up any more scratches and then get it done. It would work out cheaper to repair lots of minor damages than just one problem.
