No, you're right, the comments were a bit strong, but then so was the negative review - an immediate response to that no doubt, with emotions running high.
I've sent a (pretty sensible) reply to the newsdesk identified, but I agree we probably shouldn't react too strongly, as her review flies in the face of the fact that the CD/DVD charted so well, and the fact that we all KNOW that the orchestral production (as well as Meat and the NLE's performance) was pretty much a masterpiece...
