Thanks for your email. As you may be aware, the majority of readers of the TOTP website are teenagers - many of whom are probably unaware of Meat Loaf's previous work with the exception, maybe, of his cameo appearance in Spice World.
With this in mind, our lineup preview was written in such a way to appeal to
our readership and introduce them to Meat Loaf's musical legacy. If you
check around the site at our daily news and previous lineups, you'll see
that we often have a cheeky pop at the stars.
I do hope your realise that this is not a reflection on the writer's opinion
of Meat Loaf. We at the website all think that 'Dead Ringer' is one of the
finest pop tunes ever! Additionally, TOTP is about to give him a great deal
of coverage on the TOTP2 show as well.
