Meat Loaf nominated for Echo 2007!!!

just read that the Album Bat out of Hell III: The Monster is Loose is nominated for the German music award "Echo".
Bat3 is nominated in the category best international rock/pop album 2006.
the prize gala will be shown live on tv march 25th.

the nominees are:
Jack Johnson Jack Johnson & Friends | Universal
Justin Timberlake Futuresex / Love Sounds | Sony BMG
Meat Loaf Bat Out of Hell 3 |
Robbie Williams Rudebox | EMI
Yusuf An Other Cup | Universal

The Echo is the second biggest music award in the world after the Grammy.

aint that cool news?

Thanks for the news RJ, looking at the other nominees there really isn't much competition for Bat III is there?

mszee 08 Mar 2007 22:16

No, except for Justin and Robbie...argh...

Great news though!!!

RadioMaster 08 Mar 2007 22:17

though the nominees are based on the most selling albums of the year, the winner is chosen by a jury, that means it doesnt depend on many people voting for Meat, so I think he has a true chance to win it.

Well, then let's keep our fingers crossed...

Yes popular and well known, but since it's not a pulbicly voted award, it's mopre likely to go to someone who's brought out something decent rather than the pin up appeal.

rudebox was rubbished in the UK media, don't know about JT tho.

meatloaf-unofficial 09 Mar 2007 17:48

COME ON MEAT!!!!

This would be so great if he won it :-) - you never know, he might even get best tour 2007 (if there is one - best live performance, I mean) or for some other award in the UK one! :-)

If you know what I am on about.

Blackkat13 10 Mar 2007 06:23

Got my figures crossed hope he wins

Meataholic 10 Mar 2007 19:44

Thanks RadioMaster - This is great news :D

RadioMaster 26 Mar 2007 00:04

Best rock/pop international went to Robbie Williams.

Really don't want infraction points so I'll keep my opinion on that and him to myself

djfierce 26 Mar 2007 15:26

I'll chance it....what a load of crock!!! Don't they know what HIS OWN fans think of his new album......obviously not!!!
Unfortunatley it was very predictable but i could've stomached any one else winning it but him.

RadioMaster 26 Mar 2007 15:28

funny thing is:
favourites were Mr Williams, Meat and Cat Stevens'/Yusuf's new album....
and I truly think that Bat3 and Another cup (Yusuf) are great albums and both prize worth...and who won?:doh:
I'd give everything to look in these jury people's heads only one time...
