Is it really impossible...

For many years, a common expression has been that something that is hard to do is like "nailing Jelly to the wall."

However, have any of the world's great scientists ever actually sat down adn worked out the impossibility of this? Well, now someone has....

How to nail jelly to the wall?

N.B. After a spot of head scracthing, we think we have worked out how to actually achieve this so I may be posting pictures tomorrow if it works!

In fact, the jelly didn't even need a nail to stay on the wall. It just stuck there. For good measure, I drove a nail through it. The jelly held in place
:lmao:

Lord Kagan 21 Feb 2007 23:23

How bored must you be to nail jelly to a wall? Or is this in the interest of science?

Monstro 21 Feb 2007 23:28

Do we know anyone called Jerry and a dyslexic with a hammer?

AndyK 21 Feb 2007 23:36

Don't you mean a dyslexic with a hammre?

duke knooby 22 Feb 2007 01:33

dead easy to nail jelly to a wall, just needs set to the correct temp, not too brittle, just a little elastic deformation...question is why have i never heard of the expression before

AndyK 23 Feb 2007 14:37

Of course there are ...

Sub-section 7 paragraph 3ii of Appendix G of the International Official Rules for Really Tricky Things To Do outlines the rules for Nailing Jelly To A Wall. Thought everyone knew that?
