Well said a true legend.
One of the best entertainer's there has ever been. Who want's to live forever. |
15yrs already....the show still goes on though.
|
What a touching and moving tribute.
Fifteen years already, Wow. Freddie will always be remembered and is a true legend in his own right. http://i7.tinypic.com/29fdzdf.jpg |
Thank you, Heli.
Hard to believe, that it's been 15yrs already. :( A great performer and greatly missed... J. |
A brilliant tribute! Thanks for bringing it to our attention, Heli.
Only seems like yesterday. |
Fantastic tribute to a one-of-a-kind singer/entertainer who died so early. He would have found a way to be on top at an older age if that had been his destiny; but, sadly, it was not. Future generations will learn about him through the records and videos of Queen and of Freddie himself - just as you did. Fifteen years?! Gone by way too fast.

Doesn't seem like 15 years ago that I was driving from Harrogate to Preston at 7am on a Monday morning and heard Simon Mayo break the news on Radio 1. A sad day, and a man who will never be forgotten.
|
We were at primary school and doing Queen songs for the end of year concert. Mrs B the music teacher who was a massive queen fan told us. Really doesn't seem like 15 years since.
|
This is so lovely...and to see those close to freddie. Must have been an experience for them! |

The last song Freddie wrote. If you ever go to Montreux you will understand and appreciate every single word of this song... It's bliss. |

What a legend! Missed but never forgot!

the great ones always die young :(
Rest in Peace, Mr. Mercury... A true legend, what else could be said? |
One of the best singers and probably the best performer EVER imo!
WOW, never heard that Queen song "In my Defense". Incredible stuff yet again! 15 years, how time flies.... |
"In My Defence" wasn't a Queen song. It was one of Freddie's solo's. It does sound a lot like Queen though. I think Brian's mentioned that on his website actually; about him feeling hurt that Freddie wouldn't allow any of the band to help him with his solo stuff, yet he chose a guitarist who has an almost identicle sound to Brian to play.
But it is such a beautiful song. It reminds me so much of being in Montreux by the statue! Nice memories :-) |
What a talent he had...what a voice...argh...
Only the good die young... |
