These 100 best of or similar are a few persons views generally and space fillers when they've run out of other stories.

Decembers Classic Rock doesn't even feature Meat in their top 100 rock icons.

Todd features though, but for hit Utopia stuff, not Meaty related stuff.

If you read the introduction to the article, you'll see that it is it is not a ranked list i.e. it's 100 Rock Icons, not the 100 Greatest Rock Icons.

They just got 100 people (mostly rock musicians) to each nominate one person as their icon, so Meat's absence from the list shouldn't be taken too seriously.
