Quick ML trivia question?

As this has baffled a couple of people,

What Meat Loaf song is J2?

A prize or a pint at the next tour to the first correct answer!!!

Alex 20 Jul 2006 13:49

I'd initially guess "Back Into Hell". It's the 10th song on the 2nd Bat album - but there is nothing to say that it should be the second "bat" album that I choose - except meat's second album doesn't have 10 tracks (Dead Ringer only has 8 ). And neither VBO CD has 10 tracks, so it can't be referring to that.

J=10
Maybe I'm being too mathematical...

AndrewG 20 Jul 2006 13:58

It could also be "took the words" as that is the second jim steinman song ?
However technically it is "Bat" as Meat did do a single version of "More than you deserve" with Jim before Bat was released.

This is confusing :tard:

Chris 20 Jul 2006 19:40

Neither of them are right I'm afraid.

You are over analsying it far too much.

soonerdawg 20 Jul 2006 19:47

 there is no meat loaf song by that title.....

LucyK! 20 Jul 2006 19:50

Only "J" of relevance that I can think of is Jim, though my guess was the same as Musicman's which apparently is wrong....let me think!

mszee 21 Jul 2006 00:56

This might be off the charts...but...

Two out of three ain't bad???

Alex 21 Jul 2006 13:45

Ok, next attempt is based on Musicman's concept. Meat's first song he recorded of Jim's was More Than You Deserve - the second was maybe Heaven Can Wait (i know it was the "first song [Jim] played [Meat] from Bat").

Also, reverse engineering. The time that Chris' original post appeared, Heaven Can Wait will have been in the "New Posts" link, maybe jogging memories to post such a question :P So even though my reasoning may be incorrect - I might have the right answer with Heaven Can Wait :)

Diane 21 Jul 2006 14:58

OK ... my theory. Mr. Chris is a newsagent. Marvel Comics produce a comic book hero magazine called J2 and Meat has recorded a song about heroes.

My guess: "It's A Time For Heroes".

Diane

LucyK! 21 Jul 2006 15:07

Oooh Diane...mega logic there!!

I have to confess...I got so bloody annoyed thinking about it last night that I had to ask Chris for a clue so I could work it out....you guys better get your thinking caps on!!

RadioMaster 21 Jul 2006 15:16

Hmmm...
It wont be a part from the lyrics something like
Jay too or similar. Thatīd be too easy
There is no fitting name of a song for these words too...
so maybe thereīs J1
J is obviously not Jim
is there a album with J? No
J=10...to mathmatic
Is jay an old number from rome like I,V,X,L,C,D,or M? no
itīs nothing personal to Chris related because he says we could know
Is J a tour? no
is J some kinda musical key? No
so if thereīs J 1 and J 2 then it could be part one and two fo a song, is there something like that? No.
Maybe a song that was first recorded by Jim and then by Meat
R&R Dreams
Frying pan
Left in the Dark
Surfīs Up
Lost Boys
and now Bad for Good...

:confused::confused::confused:

mszee 21 Jul 2006 15:20

I actually think Diane will take the prize after all...

Diane 21 Jul 2006 16:14

I don't think so mszee judging on what Lucy said above.

:nope:

Well, I think I am just about done:

1. I am a woman - therefore, no logic whatsoever
2. I don't look good in any kind of cap

soonerdawg 21 Jul 2006 16:52

good god, there is no meat song that is j2! holy lord, it's a trick question! when you find out that you wasted your time racking your brain for an answer that doesn't exist, you will wish you had listened to me!

And we will be hunting down Chris....

RadioMaster 21 Jul 2006 17:08

Entering "meat loaf" j2 and meatloaf j2 on google brought just this result:
Quote:

and J2 had put some meat in a bag for me to take home

LucyK! 21 Jul 2006 17:30

You see Chris...this is why I had to ask for clues!! It's too difficult!! lol

So what about us Chris? Can we have some clues too?!!! :sherlock:

Diane

Chris 21 Jul 2006 19:41

OK,

you are all over analysing.

J2 is a code for the song. Instead of trying to crack the code (impossible) ask yourself in what situation would a song be given a code number?

RadioMaster 21 Jul 2006 19:50

Is it paradise?

Otherwise I am stumped

soonerdawg 21 Jul 2006 19:58

ok, i'm going to take a stab. if a song needed a code, and if the song in question is different from other songs that it needs a code, i would guess "the monster is loose" due to the fact that it has been released on the internet months prior to the album's release. i'm no expert when it comes to uploading songs on the'net, but TMIL is the only thing that comes to mind when thinking of "special circumstances" that would require a code. i expect my beer....

You shall be waiting a long time for your beer.....

Another clue, bear in mind that I am not an evil person. I don;t expect you to be solving a code, most people use a code for a song at some point....why??
