Recommend me a film

I have to admit that I'm not a huge fan of Meat Loaf's films and I haven't seen that many of them. It's not necessarily his acting but films in general. So recommend me a good Meat Loaf film, apart from;

Fight Club - I've seen it 1 1/2 times and thought it was overrated garbage
51st State - Utter nonsense
Blacktop - Probably one of the most uninteresting films I've ever seen.
To Catch A Yeti - Errrrmm
Spice World - Rubbish
Rocky Horror Picture Show - I've never liked this film

I have watched and enjoyed though, Waynes World and Leap Of Faith

I would recommend Crazy in Alabama and Focus ... they both have great story lines. If you want something that's just relaxing and funny, I would also recommend Roadie :-)

I phoned the two biggest video stores in town to see if they had either of those films, and they don't :( I'm going to try and get hold of 'Focus' though as that seems more like something I'd be interested in.

One of my faves is 'trapped' - but then i love disaster movies so.........

I finally watched 'Crazy In Alabama' last night and it's not one of those films that I think I'll be wanting to see again. Meat Loaf played a great part and it's a shame it didn't show more of his character. The racial aspect of the film I thought was good and it's a shame they didn't use that as the main story. Because sweet Jesus, Mother Mary, God almighty WTF the Melanie Griffiths story where she's hauling a dead man's head in an hat box across country until she got a part in Bewitched had anything to do with anything I have no idea. There was a potentially good film that unfortunately was mixed in with the ridiculous, which is a shame.

Oh and this film was in the comedy section of the video store, I must have missed the funny bits.

Can't comment on Crazy in Alabama as I haven't seen it, but I can recommend Roadie. Outside of Meat, Alice and Kiki, the acting is atrocious, but it's one of those movies that's so bad it's funny, and given it's meant to be a comedy, that doesn't seem so bad. The dialogue and plot are humourous enough to back that claim up, albeit American humour.

There are enough scenes and good lines in it to make it worth watching, although I'd love to behead the casting agent....

Well, if you never liked Fight Club and 51st State then there isn't much you would like.... sorry mate.

I dunno, I watched 'Focus' tonight and thought it was a pretty OK film. Meat did a great job. The ending was a bit crap and sudden and I thought they were a bit too dainty in parts but over all not a bad film at all.

Can't believe no one's mentioned Roadie!

I love this one, it has it's moments that aren't brilliant, but generally it's great fun
