auto-biography

if you read his auto biography,To Hell And Back, What did you think? Itsa realy cool book with happy sad and somtimes frightning moments, like when his dad tried to stab him..

Unfortunately I didnīt read his biography but I have the film "to hell and back". I think itīs the same, isnīt it?
Itīs very sad and I cried especially during the last part when he says that with his mother...

I havnt seen the film of it i would love to see that. But i got his autobiography for christmas 2003 from my parents, i went upto my room and didnt move for hours, i finished it off on boxing day!! Im not really that much of a book reader and when i do read it takes me months to finish the book, but this just grabbed me and pulled me in and i couldnt put it down, its as a fantastic book, very interesting to read, with comical and some very sad parts!!

Sorry but the auto-biography and the film are not the same at all Nicole. The film is full of inaccuracies and the time lines are completely jumbled.

If you really want to know about Meat I'd recommend you read the book. It's a very honest, interesting and entertaining read which covers the high and low points in his life, and Meat's has certainly been no "ordinary" life. I guarantee once you start you won't be able to put it down!

:D

Totally agree with that Diane - it's an honest, humourous look at an extraordinary life! :D

I agree Chloe, I thought it was a very good, quick read also. It also takes me like weeks to finish a book. I really don't understand how people can finish these thick harry potter books in like a day!

ChloeLee88 02 Sep 2005 00:54

Sometimes you can get a good selection of music related books in Virgin (depends on the store itself I find). Fopp are really good for music books also, but they don't have many stores around the UK (fopp.co.uk for more info). Failing that I would have to agree with Chloe as the book is not too hard to get via the web (amazon is selling it in paperback form for 7 quid).

There are a couple of copies on ebay at the moment. Just type in Meat Loaf in the search box and go from there :D :D

New copies are also available from meatloaf.net at $25US plus postage.
