James Blunt

Has anyone taken a liking to James Blunt. First I ever heard of him was "You're Beautiful" but having now downloaded his album, although a little depressing, his lyrics are amazing.

Rob The Badger 26 Jul 2005 01:53

He's very, very bland.

I recieved his single (Wisemen or whatever it's called) in a proze pack thing from this mini concert at school....didn't think too muc of it really....he's a bit whiney in a way...

KebLou 26 Jul 2005 12:25

I've only heard one song of his and seen some of his lyrics and some how my teacher has turned me against him, because he swears. Not that I liked his music in the first place.

James Blunt is a very good artist, with beautiful lyrics and guitar work, but I have to agree with Rob here, as he does come across as bland after the first listen. I recommend Jack Johnson's album In Between Dreams to everyone. Its well written and uplifting.

The only song I know of him is " You're Beautiful" (thanks Chris! :D ) and I love it, can't stop playing it ...

I got the album a couple of nights ago and have found other good ones (but they are very depressing though). 'I'll point you in the way of them later' Gotta go to work till 9pm :-(

I'll go one step further, get all of Jack Johnson's albums, much better than James 'Aural Violator' Blunt....boring sod as he is.

My other half and I have that album on in the car, it's really relaxing to drive to, love the lyrics too - I imagine "...but I'll never be with you" was no longer the case once the girl he wrote You're Beautiful for heard that!

needmoremeat 09 Aug 2005 19:53

I nearly fell asleep listening to the new song in the car the other week, but then I got a surprise to find it was top of the charts and realised it was a damn sight better than whatever's usually number 1  However, still must agree with Rob on the blandness.

Got my tix to see James Blunt in Feb in Nottingham.

And he aint bad looking either!
