How many members!!!

I have just been having a rather random conversation with someone on the phone who thought it was weird meting people off an internet message board in the real world!!!

In passing she asked how many forum members I have met and i have done some totting up. I reckon it is currently at 25 people. So by my working that means i only have 1,123 people left to meet.:shock:

So how many people from here have you met in the real world??:??:

Funny topic Chris. Today was in the paper a topic about the youth that was meeting people on the internet. They meet most of their friends these days by internet. Even that they can't "toucht" each other, they do think that those friendships are very important.

I was chatting on Messenger to a journalist friend a few weeks back and she was doing an article about net friendships and stuff. The basic gist was that in the olden days, people used to stay in their own communities and villages. You met someone in the village, worked in the village and never left the village.

However, with the advent of net communities people now have "online villages", it is the same as the old physical villages it is just that now the people you tend to interact with do not have to be physically near to you.

Safer too Chris - you do not know what nutters are out there

I'd say about a dozen offhand.

...out of that dozen that does include one long term relationship and someone who tried to make it a lot shorter.

Gonna meet more people during the gigs later this year. Looking forward to putting faces to names as well as seeing people again! :D :D :D
