Dr. Pepper Advert!
 

Just saw a new advertisement on tv for a soft drink here in the states -Dr. Pepper.
The whole ad featured a guy and a girl doing all sorts of mundane things [i.e laundry] while Meat's "Anything For Love" plays in the background......until she reaches for his Dr. Pepper! Classic....and a nice addition to prime-time television watching!

I saw it for the first time last night on MTV during the Real World/Road Rules Challenge. It's always a thrill to hear a snipet of Meat when you least expect it!

I've only seen it twice (of course, they only play the good commercials a few times, and the annoying ones over and over), but it's definitly one of the funniest commercials of the year.

Mmm... in a Dr. Pepper commercial?? Too bad. Think his songs are better in a car commercial or so.

Awesome commerical - finally saw it! Much better than that goofy GM commerical a while ago!

Unlike the GM commercial, the Meat Loaf song is actually the main character in this commercial. The advertising company who developed this commercial took the full essence of both the song and the video, twisting the commericial into an extremely clever quasi-parody of both. Kudos to whoever came up with what is turning into an absolute triumph of an ad campaign. This is really taking off like gang-busters, unlike the GM ad, which had a run of less than six months. From what I read on the business newswires, Dr. Pepper is preparing to ship this commerical to even more markets in the US. Easily, Anything For Love is unrecognizable as Meat Loaf and cannot do anything but put a spark, albeit small more than likely, into Meat Loaf's record sales, or at least we can only hope. This commerical is in the Super Bowl commerical caliber.

I do not know if Dr. Pepper is distributed over in the UK, but if so, here is hoping you all get to see this absolutely amazing commerical!!!

Dr. Pepper is available over here now we're out of the dark ages :-D It's been advertised on TV before now, so here's hoping!
