(Windows XP only)

1. Create a new folder on your desktop called "Notepad".
2. Open any website in IE (ie. http://www.mlukfc.com/).
3. Now try to view the website source code (View->Source).
4. What do you see?

Why the blazes does it open the desktop\Notepad folder? :wtf: :wtf: :wtf:

Additionally, while still having that folder on your desktop, select "Start->Run" and type "Notepad". Click "OK".

Now that one I think I know!!!

If you don't specify a path doesn't the run function search through your personalised settings folder first and then work upwards through windows folder!!!

Well, in that case your desktop folder would have to be included in the Operating System's search path. It isn't. :wtf:

But if you load Explorer in WinXP then the desktop is the highest folder adn My Computer etc.. are all located inside it, so surely the logical place for the search to start would be Desktop and then work it's way through the folders inorder,eg My Documents , then My Computer, then network places and so on.

Having said that, since when did MS use logic!!!!!

Not quite. Start->Run->"cmd". Type path and hit enter.
I don't see any "Desktop Folder" there. :wtf:
