How did it go then?? |
Unfortunately- I partially tore a hip flexor and had to rest up for performing this week (I'm in a festival in Sudbury) so I couldn't go to the audition
...as a matter of interest, here's my dance bio (it mentions our lovely Mr. Loaf!) for the programme this week! Leah has been dancing since the age of three, when her mother finally gave in and enrolled her in ballet lessons. It wasn’t until she attended Canterbury High School for the fine arts, however, that she first met, and fell in love with, Modern dance. During her time at Canterbury, Leah equally worked as an Agit- Prop choreographer and performer with Big Apparatus Theatre, and Counternote Productions as well as in various musicals. Leah began her post-secondary studies at Concordia, where she experimented in contact work with Louis Guilmet (formerly of La La La Human Steps). She completed her BFA at York University, in Toronto, providing her the opportunity of performing in FFIDA (2001), as well as continuing her own choreography and performance work with York Dances. Leah performed with the York Dance Ensemble (2002-2003) and had an absolute blast working with choreographers that included Danny Grossman, and Andrea Nann. Leah hopes to continue performing and choreographing in a variety of delineation in the future, but considers her 1999 impromptu performance with singer, Meat Loaf, as her all time favorite dance memory. |
Oh I'm so sorry to hear that - make sure you heal fully before trying anything daft -
Luv the bio thanks for sharing  |
Leah, thank you for the dance-bio!
Get well soon! xxx Mariella |
