Favourite lyrics from a Meat song
 

My favourite Meat Loaf songs are 'Dead Ringer For Love' (from 'Dead Ringer'), 'Forever Young' (from 'Couldn't Have Said It Better'), 'Special Girl' (from 'Bad Attitude') and 'Bat Out of Hell' but one song that I've listened to recently and only started to notice properly is 'Objects in the Rear View Mirror (May Appear Closer Than They Are), it is unbelievabley moving and very emotional, it was shown on the big screens at Sheffield before the show and thats when it hit me and one me and mate's favourite motto's now is, "If life is just a highway, then the sole is just a car!" :!:

My favourite lyrics of all time are from IGLHFBOU, where it goes

"When the screws are tightening, and the tears are falling, I can hear you crying out to be saved"

I think it is SO emotional and sung with such power and brilliant music that I just have to love it! :cry:

My Favorit lyric would have to be "Everyones going nowere slowly there all fighting for the chance to be last therse nothing going wrong with goin nowere babey but we should be going nowere fast" I dont why buts it the one lyric that stiks in my head lol :D

My favorite is "We quiver when we touch. I can't believe I love you so much". It's an innocent lyric but it's so full of sexual heat :twisted:

Along the same lines as Shadow's suggestion, a favorite of mine is:

"Come closer to me now/like we're sharing the same skin" add the imagery of that lyric to the little shudder that Meat does as he sings it on the Storytellers DVD- instant goosebumps every time!

For me, that's the greatest line of all time. It suggests deep loyalty, over-intensive emotion and commitment. It's the most profound and sacred image I've ever known.

i like this cause i daydream a lot. and sometimes i get so caught up in them that i forget what i'm actutally doing you know like driving or having a coversation with someone. :)

The most important lyrics i have found are these "you shouldn't tremble when we touch there's no reason for these fears" Why???? Because it's true!! Don't we all tremble when we are near someone we feel we could love??

These lyrics are just stunning though... and every time I listen to the song I catch something else in it's message. There is a live version with Meat in concert and Jim on piano in accompaniment that is so pure.... the first time I heard it I cried like mad. ;) Gorgeous song...

I agree with you RSG...mine changes almost daily but currently "A Kiss Is A Terrible Thing To Waste" ...'We'll never be as young as we are right now' in particular.
