I don't want to get into any arguments but I find it a bit hypocritical that you stopped and locked a thread when someone tried to put a link or whatever to another Meat Loaf site when you yourself finish off a post with Webmaster of MirrorOfTheSoul.com

That is actually a fair point.

Post in question was exclusively for the purpose of promting another site; whereas I mention MOTS as part of my sig line. There is no link, it is just text.

So what you're saying then is: that you have to be of a below average intelligence not to be able to figure out that anything ending in .com, .co.uk, .net, .org or whatever isn't a website?. I feel that if that is the case then it's a bit of an insult to Meat Loaf fans everywhere.

Which brings me to Sinecures post.

Isn't there a links page on this site somewhere? so why not someone put a link to a site on the message board?, so long as it doesn't contain illegal or pornographic material and it is Meat Loaf related.

Being a moderator should be just that, to moderate and not play God at the drop of an hat.

There is a precident on this board of disallowing links to other message boards, guest books, etc., which I was enforcing. Nothing more, nothing less. As a matter of fact, I know the moderator of the board.

I have presented a resolution that I believe you will find highly encouraging in regard to this situation to the other mods, but seeing as they are out doing what is important tonight (SEEING MEAT LOAF LIVE IN CONCERT) they have not had a chance to give feedback yet.

I was not playing God, rather going with the precident. This is my final word on this subject.

Just to clarify:

We have no problem with you including links in your profile.

to promote their own forum aren't doing themselves any favours.

I know that leaves some space for interpretation, but just posting a message with topic title in CAPS for site promotion is exactly what Anne had in mind as she wrote this message.
