3/a. Jim (ASCOF) - Overture (The Chase)

A Small Circle Of Friends - Overture (The Chase) (8)

Well, I'd like to take to pieces the entire soundtrack. The first song on the album is more than 3 minutes. The first part is as same as Making Love Out Of Nothing At All. I love the change in the middle of the song. You hear a calm piano when the orchetra's ending...

My score: 8

Firstly, my good friend (and we're still working on our album, are we not?) the MAKING LOVE thingy was recycled from an abandoned production of Jim Steinman's THE CONFIDENCE MAN (as a beautiful section in EDGING INTO DARKNESS). TOTAL ECLIPSE came from HOW DO YOU BURY THE SKULL OF YOUR COUNTRY? from Jim's DREAM ENGINE musical, and there was a lot of stuff from MORE THAN YOU DESERVE - THE MUSICAL (which Fireball will know a LOT about). Overall, the OVERTURE and the BANNER - with, perhaps, the FINALE - are the greatest pieces of Steinman's orchestral career (aside from THE STORM and TANZ DER VAMPIRE). It's the last I'll say on SMALL CIRCLE. Just like you to know that I think it's marvelous. 1345424 / 10!!!
