TOTP - Quick Question
Does anyone know anything about when Meat presented Top of the Pops? It was on April 14th 1994. Does anyone know if there are any videoclips hanging about somewhere?
There are some video clips (v short though) of Meat on TOTP. I think you need a Realplayer to play them because they didn't work when I tried, so I don't know what they are like. http://www.bbc.co.uk/totp/artists/m/meat_loaf/ |
When he presented, at the end of the show, he and the band also performed Objects in the Rearview Mirror. I remember that clip very well, as although they had also used piped in backing vocals (Patti was lipsynching to the studio backing vocals), Meat Loaf and Kasim (and i say that, as at the time, Kasim was singing the lead lines right along with Meat for some reason and could REALLY be heard)sang it live. And it was really good too! Dang, i thought i knew of a clip online of it somewhere, but now it escapes me at the moment. Hope this is helpful!

Thank you so much! Fantastic clips!
I love the performance of "Objects". I have already seen it before when it was shown on TOTP2 last year though, i taped it. What i am actually looking for is a clip of him presenting the show. The live performances are a bonus! Thanks again. You made my evening. :D |

I knew it was a long shot...do you think if i storm the BBC they will let me have a copy of the tape?
Or maybe I should just try asking nicely... |
Ask niceley first, then we will co-ordinate the ground troops if they have one let me know ans I will try asking nicely at first

I remember seeing this when I was about 12 years old.
I would love to see it again though (anybody!?). I remember I loved "Anything", but this is the song that really got me into BatII. Still my favourite song off the album, and always will be... |
