Default Very Sorry !!
I have been upset all day !! I came here not expecting what I ran into !!

I had a person accusing of passing out and faking it to sell tickets . People everywhere telling me I am Lip lip syncing the whole show !! because they heard the Double vocal in the background after I passed out , it's a double vocal that is on the record from 94 ' the band had stopped , the BG's weren't singing , so all you heard was the double . I didn't wake up till I was at the Hospital . I was faking it wrote one woman . I wanted to leave the Hospital but they would not let me . I had people wanting a refund when I was about 9 or 10 mins from the end of the show . They had heard Bat,Paradise,Took the words , 2 outa 3,
Revved up, Frying pan, Break it , the opening and other songs . I had been on for almost an hour and 40 mins. Right now I am not well !! I am going to try and do the show on Tues . Had another guy write that I do this passing out all the time just to make money and never give refunds . Lets take that night in Newcastle. Yes I had to stop , but I came back and charged 5 pounds a ticket to only cover the cost of the building !! Also gave everyone a free CD . So yes I am upset !! MY wife and Frances have yelled at me !! I am sorry . It goes back to my 1st Broadway show "Hair" and the song "How can People be so Heartless" Again sorry !! I feel very bad for coming here an attacking !!

That what makes you so great Meat that you are so passionate. We don't want a boring, bland person we want somebody who wears his heart on his sleeve. That is why you're such a great performer and why so many people from around the world want to see you in concert.

I already was afraid some idiot would say you were doing it on purpose to sell tickets or get attention for the new album. I had hoped you wouldn't hear such bullshit. I understand why it upsets you.

Last month I lost my dad of cancer. Same age as you. Went to my first Meat-concert with him when I was 13 years old, 1988.
All that matters is your health, your family, your passion and love. Nothing more important than that.

It takes a big man to say he's sorry; small ones to be heartless, ignore another's feelings, kick a man when he's down.

I'd say you have no need to apologise as far as I'm concerned, but I know you feel you do because of the man you are. Two and a half thousand people left messages within 2 hours of the update posted on your FB page. 99.5% at least were of concern for you (not their shows lined up) and love. The small balance who came to put the boot in said ridiculous and vile things which must have cut you to the quick .. but they were, and will always be, vastly outnumbered. Here nearly all those who posted simply wanted to show their concern. Take that to the bank .. because it's gold. It's deserved, but also freely given out of love. :-)

You will always have friends here, many who love you for who and what you are, not simply what you do for them; who give you permission to be who you are, love that passion you have, and always will. Now, sleep ;)

I guess its hard to let loose and let the baby fly now, as things start to get out of their control: Like amazon prereleasing two tracks. Or the expected easy feedback of those jumping on the natural "limitations" (quotation marks!) of Braver. People have their opinions and are entitled not to attend a gig. But I don`t get those repeatedly coming to this place of love and excitement.

Absolutely no need for YOU, Meat, to be sorry and feeling bad!! But there are indeed a few people out there who should be very sorry: these narrow-minded hate-filled cowards whose only happiness in life seems to be to knock down others while hiding behind a big screen. Why else would someone be in a forum of an artist and write nothing but BS? These heartless, insensitive and cruel people are poor people, very poor people, but I can‘t even feel sorry for them. Luckily, there are only a few of them, very few, and they‘re easily outnumbered by the tens of thousands people (over 30k!!) who are showing their love and respect for you, Meat! And that‘s exactly what you deserve: love and respect! You‘ve given us so very much all over the years (decades!!) and you still do, you always do, and for that I thank you from the bottom of my heart! You will always have my love and deepest respect for being who you are!!

It was truly upsetting to see what happened a few days ago & it's ridiculous that some would believe you would fake it to sell tickets. You certainly don't need help to sell tickets, you're Meat Loaf after all :lol: I hope you continue to feel better & don't push yourself to get back on stage too soon. Rest and take care of yourself first and foremost. I work in customer service & know all too well that people will scream for a refund even if they have received more than their monies worth.

Get well soon Meat & know your true fans are always on your side. You'll always have our love and respect :-)

I know how easy it is to let the few (in comparison) negative comments far outweigh the huge amount of positive and concerned comments. Try to not let them get to you - take them on board and reply honestly to them. 99% of people know it wasn`t faked - the 1% will always be there.

Just concentrate on getting well.

Meat, when the record company put those 2 songs out the same day I knew people were going to claim you did it for the publicity. Most of us know you have had these spells over the years and unfortunately somebody compounded it by releasing things you obviously did not have anything to do with. I know that makes you angry. It would make anyone angry.

Please remember that one day something like this is going to go public and it won't look good with us being your loyal supporters. I know some say unkind things and that is the world today and the internet. Doesn't make it right. But it is "Hell in a Handbasket".

Everything is going to be OK. I had one of the worst days I have had in a good 10 years yesterday. It gets better.

As I said on the deleted thread. God bless you Meat. This too shall pass. Please take care of yourself. You got so many expressions of caring last week. Look at those and know it will be OK.

Perhaps it is time to make a special thread for Meat where he can discuss the album and tour with us and where it is understood that it is his thread and maybe comments could be in a "pending" status until someone reviews them and if that takes some time to get to that is OK. It won't have the immediacy of fast interaction but it would save a lot of grief.

It would also make it easier for everyone to find his posts about the shows, the songs and the latest word on things.

I'm not trying to volunteer anyone for a "job" but just a suggestion.

I'd think a lot of work which is unlikely to be effective .. Meat can always view any thread and respond .. his right as a member of the forum, let alone the one who is the subject. Best way would be for people to simply think before they post about Meat, his work, his perfomance, remembering the words at the top of the page :

We ask that this should be done in a respectful manner

But this topic would be best taken to Feedback if anyone wants to pursue it

I can see why you were so upset and regardless of how upset you get, I'll always hear your vent out. I hate that all this happened to you. I am more worried about you getting well and distressing from all this crap about no refunds etc. Wish I could help, name it!

Let's not bog down the thread any more please but I must say this since I suggested a PM but you didn't. Which is my point I suggested you PM and you didn't, but I respectfully gave you an option to not bring it here.

You do realize your one word was done in a way that seemed as though you think you have some authority though. Maybe they don't teach about McCarthyism any more or the witch hunts. The key word is "suggestion". I said it would be a lot of work. I'm done on this subject.
