Prize Fight Lover All Revved Up Took The Words Dead Ringer For Love Los Angeloser The Giving Tree / Testify Medley <NEW SONG> <NEW SONG> Braver Than We Are Out of the Frying Pan Paradise Bat Out Of Hell Anything For Love Hot Patootie - Bless My Soul / Freebird / All Revved Up reprise |
Hi, my name is Francine and I'm new here ..
I have some important questions on my mind... Does anyone know if there's a chance to purchase a ''Meet & Greet'' with Meat? And can we purchase tickets here in Europe for the US? |
You can buy from Ticketmaster in the USA, you just have to use the international option for delivery which means you collect from the box office on the night. As far as I can see they will be offering VIP packages, which normally include a front or second row seat as well as the M&G. I'd suggest you make sure you are registered on ticketmaster.com, and when given postage options you make sure you tick International delivery. Good luck :)

The shows that showed on sale dates requires a pre-sale code which I am not sure who sends people the code. The seats I saw were pretty expensive. At one time Meat said the front rows would be expensive and other tickets would be as low as $25 but I suppose that was for a summer tour that has lawn seating.
From what I could tell either a good number of tickets had already been sold or some blocks are being held for VIP deals or bought by people who will try to mark up the price and sell them. |
There are no Meet and Greets this tour.

All songs from Blind before I stop will be performed in alphabetical order with a special 28 minute version of Masculine opening and closing the show except for shows getting too close to Pennsylvania where a standard set will be performed. :D
But seriously. I suspect anything from the last 3-5 albums might not make it. Prize Fight Lover would be awesome as a starter or closer. Any preview from the forthcoming album would be great. Wouldn't be able to make these shows but hope they go down well and anyone going has a blast. Maybe one more European show sometime next year would be special (O2 or Manchester?). Will keep a look out on here if it's happening I guess. |
What I want to see from any future Meat shows:
+ The only songs that need to be played at every concert are Bat, Paradise and Anything For Love, and they don't need to be stretched out to 15+ minutes each. Restrict all three of those to ten minutes max and there's an extra 15 minutes you can play another 2-3 songs. Considering the price of tickets, 13 or less songs a show is ridiculous. + Rotate the other warhorses (Lemon for Frying Pan, Dead Ringer for All Revved Up, etc) so the set isn't identical each and every night and leaves room for stuff that hasn't been played in a while. Obviously they don't all have to be rotated, but there needs to be room for stuff other than the same ten songs that have made up the body of the set for the last ten years. + Fill the rest of the set with an even mix of new songs and back catalogue. + Back catalogue is not just warhorses from the past like Love Her For Both Of Us. Back catalogue is Good Girls Go to Heaven, Seize the Night, Kill You if You Don't Come Back, MTYD, IJWQ, Man of Steel, Cheating in Your Dreams, If This is the Last Kiss, whatever. Things the fans want to hear that they haven't heard before. + Either a) lower the key, b) use a backing track (Blind as a Bat chorus, CHSIB / Testify on MSO style) or c) rearrange the songs to give the higher parts to the BVs. There is no reason Meat should be raping his voice to hit the high Cs in Bat, the "nothing to do and less to lose" in the Frying Pan prechorus, whatever, at almost age 70. There's a reason he ends up in hospital with bleeding vocal chords and it's because he doesn't take care of his voice. His music isn't built for a 70 year old voice, you can't just pretend everything is fine. That's a show I'd love to see as a hardcore Meat Loaf fan that I feel makes the most of what he has to offer as an artist. What I actually expect to happen: 1. More 2. Break It 3. Bat Out of Hell 4. You've Got to Love Me With the Sun In Your Eyes (/ new ballad we don't know of?) 5. Who Needs the Young? 6. Prize Fight Lover 7. Paradise By the Dashboard Light 8. Dead Ringer 9. Took the Words 10. Braver Than We Are 11. Out of the Frying Pan 12. Speaking in Tongues 13. I'd Do Anything for Love 14. Rock and Roll Dreams More would make a badass opener, imo. |

It will probably be close to the Vegas set list with a couple of additions to fill in the time spent on the Q&A segments. Hopefully stuff that goes easier on Meat's voice so he doesn't get as much pain and the bleeding vocal chords.
Also if they can find any interest Meat really needs a true definitive DVD filmed at current day standards by someone who knows what they are doing. Minimal overdubs, please. A true "very best of" show. |

I do think meat should put a "soft section" in the middle of his set were he sits on his stool and does Two out of three, left in the dark, and objects. |

LAB is already 2 years ago. And I'm very happy that I was able to attend a few shows of that tour. For me it was a great farewell and it still is. Since that tour I don't have the urge anymore to see a Meat concert. For me LAB was a perfect ending with the (again for me) perfect band setting and a superb set list witnessing Objects and FCOL in one show.
The US had to miss out on that so I really hope you all get something special during this tour. I do hope you get to witness a show that is as entertaining for you as LAB was for me. So rock on peeps and enjoy whatever is coming your way and whatever the set list might be  |
