John Parr didn't fall out with Meat Loaf...

... from the horses mouth.

renegadeangel 08 Sep 2014 19:05

Go on...

AndrewG 08 Sep 2014 19:15

which horse?

Evil Ernie 09 Sep 2014 02:08

What were they doing in the horses mouth and how did they fall?

chairboys 09 Sep 2014 10:29

Does this suggest some involvement on the new album, I wonder?
Meat did seem to make a point of naming him on TV not so long back.
That's my hunch.

Kev 09 Sep 2014 17:25

It's all in the new version of BBIS

renegadeangel 09 Sep 2014 20:34

And what does that mean?

Breeze 09 Sep 2014 22:03

BBIS has always been one of my favorite albums. It has some great songs that I have hoped would be redone without the wall of sound.

Probably doesn't want to give away any spoilers in the hope that we'll all buy the album to find out. ;)

Jules13 10 Sep 2014 12:25

I am a little bit confused...

It will be exactly the same as the old version in terms of sound in the same way that Bad Attitude and Live At Wembley were both exactly the same as their old versions. Cherry Red only have the rights to rehash the existing albums.

So you will be resisting the dangling hook? ;)

I have no desire to spend my hard earned money on something I already own. Especially something that wasn't particularly good the first time. And to be perfectly honest I don't care what John Parr thinks of Meat Loaf, or what Meat Loaf thinks of John Parr. And I doubt anything written in the liner notes can be taken as gospel anyway, or that it can be described as 'from the horses mouth.'

The hook will carry on dangling.

Kev 10 Sep 2014 18:02

ooooooooooooooooooh!!! Sounds the same to me. The John Parr/Meat situation is pretty much the whole story from the notes. Also something about a saxophone player who did all his tracks in one day and never saw Meat again.

Certainly no carrots on this one.

Simon - Stock was late on this one. It should be with you later this week. I got CR to send me a copy.

A carrot though... one of our biggest clients will be handling the new Meaty album.
