"Man Of Steel" Off American Version of "CHSIB
 

According to a source that's supposedly very close to Meat on the steinman site, Meat only recorded "Man Of Steel" for Pearl and there is a good chance it will be taken off the U.S. version of the album. I also think that Meat's still upset over the whole thing about Sixx outwriting Steinman so personally I'd love to have "Man Of Steel" replaced by a new song!

Guess I'm confused. What do you mean abouot Sixx outwriting Steinman? And I love "Man of Steel". Pearl's got an absolutely amazing voice and the two of them sound so fabulous together.

my one complaint (and only) about CHSIB is the fact that there is so little patti. So if MOS is taken off i think a duet with patti should be included. We need more of her for CHSIB and another duet too!

Since there will be new tracks on the US version, and that being enough reason to import one, I'd really like as much change as possible, and I don't mind seeing MOS go. Never quite liked it anyway. But that is just me being egocentric and all :)

Hey . . . if people can put up with my dislike of "Mercury", we can certainly accept your dislike of . . . (gulp). . . MoS. :lol:

I would be very surprised about MOS being off the American record, if in fact it really does happen. I can understand ML being very ticked off with Nikki Sixx over the Steinman remarks, but I can't see that overcoming fatherly pride over the song with Pearl. I guess we'll see in September..

Again, I stress, I cannot confirm this, it's just some guy or girl for that matter, who supposedly knows Meat very well (I think it's Meat but I'm not gonna speculate) has said that the song may not even appear on the American verision of the album.

Long story. The very short version:
MTV quoted Nikki Sixx that Meat would have phoned him, saying that, regarding Man of Steel, "somebody finally outwrote Steinman". According to Meat, he hasn't said that. MTV said that Sixx said that Meat said that... hearsay. Nothing more.
But good for quite a bit of fuzz a while back. Let it go. Not worth the fuzz...

I love Pearls voice.... Man of Steel is a beautifull song.

I agree, the writing style is so different than what we've seen Meat post here. Based on what I've read today from "Concerned Meat Fan", I have my theories too but I'm not going to speculate. It could just as easily be someone playing tricks with us.

I'd be very sad if Man Of Steel was left off the US version of the album. It's my favourite track. It still would be even if Pearl wasn't on it. I agree with others who've thought and/or said that Sixx hasn't outwritten Steinman, but Sixx and James Michael have demonstrated that, imho, they are excellent songwriters, and I don't believe that Meat would make a decision about the song based on what Sixx said about him that may have been untrue.
