I never knew Jim had a wife and a comment on a video of mine says this:

"I doubt it, Jim's wife died last month, they have been together forever. I think something like that will be hard to get over at his age. :-( He is the only singer I wish I could see live, but I know that is never going to happen. It was good to see Meat last month, I was hoping Jim was going to show up, until Meat told us the sad news about Jim's wife who had sadly passed the night before the show. He dedicated Heaven can wait,I cried to that and every other sad song that night at Nottingham"

I remember reading something like that, I thought it was on the forum here. I do not remember it being Jim's wife though and I can't remember if it was Meat that was talking about it or just someone who had gone to the show. Sorry can't be of more help.

At Nottingham Meat dedicated Heaven Can Wait to the wife of a very dear friend, who was the Godfather of his children. I can't remember the couples name but Meat was obviously very close to the couple and very upset about it but it was definitely not Jim he was talking about. Some reporter in a review of the show reported that it was Jim's wife but the reporter had got their facts wrong.

It was Earl Schuman who lost his wife, Peggy, the night before Nottingham.

As Stu said, Earl is Godfather to Meat's children, and Meat credits Earl & Peggy as being "sort of my adopted mother and father" in To Hell & Back.

I highly doubt Jim has a wife.

I'm not gonna say anything else besides 'I concur'.

As you can see in the comments a "Tom Best" pointed this out and the review has subsequently changed. Didn't want to say anything at the time as everyone was praising how good the review was but indeed other than that mistake I've never heard of a Jim Steinman's wife so don't think he has/had one.

I believe that nutcase :wacko: Susan over on Rockman quite a few years ago claimed to have had a relationship with him. But then there have been a few people on Rockman who have posted things that are so far away from reality it's a miracle they were inside Earth's gravitational pull when they posted their :shit:.

Susan was in a relationship with the other Jim. The one that wrote the Rocky Horror Show and was reincarnated as a cat. :lmao:

Either way I feel sorry for that "Jim" and I feel sorry for the cat.

It wasn't Jim Steinman's wife it was Peggy Schuman who, with her husband Earl, were one of the driving forces getting Bat Out Of Hell off the ground. She passed away the night before the Nottingham show and Meat dedicated Heaven Can Wait to Peggy Schuman. Peggy and Earl were married for 56 years and Meat said "can you imagine being with someone for 56 years and then one day they are gone? God knows I cant!" RIP Peggy Schuman

As others have said, Meat very clearly explained he was dedicating the song to his dear friend, the sadly departed and much missed Peggy Schuman

dont see why. This was all news to me and a legitimate concern. And the person who said that meant it, they werent spreading anything.

And how was I to know he clearly explained anything. i wasnt there nor do I pay attention to the show threads. I have no need to.

I really hate how everything I say can so easily be turned around on me. YET AGAIN. really sick of it.

Taking a break form this place. Took a break at the beginning of the year will do so again. I have a few more stuff to post in regards to complete show broadcasts. Thats it. other then that I need a long vacation.

Yeah wasn't there a thread title about Meat Loaf dead a few years back? I think I had one of those internet panic moments when that came up on the auto Twitter feed. I'm inclined to start a thread title that says "Nintendo confirms Wario is dead and buried??" :lol:

Come on man. YouTube is hardly a source to get your news from. It's probably the biggest collection of nonsense comments, lies and the harshest of insults on the entire internet. Who the heck is this Wendy Nicholson anyway? She's not related to me that's for sure. :-)

Actually I dare say this is probably one of the best places to find out about facts. So if you didn't see it here there is probably not much point asking is there. We get more info about what's happening with future albums, crew/staff and tours here than anywhere else. The only exception I'd say is Meat's own YouTube vids and the archival stuff you so kindly share with us. ;-) Other than that I'm inclined to say what most other people write is just bologna or jumping on the band wagon and often incorrectly citing things which is EXACTLY what has happened here.

and to be fair I did search it before I posted this thread. That news article came up, in google catch its still the older version. I thought it was legit.

Yeah but in this case you are listening to someone who "thought Jim Steinman was going to show up" at a Meat Loaf gig and doubts they are ever going to work together again. Obviously she knows nothing about what is really going on. No offence. There is simply no reason why you'd want to wonder about anything she says really.

Just observing there are better ways to ask on this board Warrio, if you don't read any of the show reviews .. eg "Who did Meat dedicate HCW to on stage in the UK?" or "Question about HCW on Last at Bat", and put the detail in the post rather than the headline .. or even ask someone you KNOW was there (there's enough of us ;) ) We'd be a better source of research than for eg Wiki .. seem to remember there was a false page set up there the other year about a new album :lol:
