A very talented, troubled lady. May all her troubles be now behind her. RIP.

Brilliant singer, had the finest female voice of her generation. Another talent destroyed by fame.

Although I wasn't a fan of her music, I respected the talent that she had. Shame to hear of her passing. My thoughts are with the family & friends of Miss Houston :( x

Her passing is a sad thing ... It was a bit of a jolt to me when I heard the news last night ... but not too surprising ... RIP, Whitney ...

Thank you for posting the link. I thought it was a beautiful tribute and almost cried when I watched it on tv last night. Jennifer Hudson did an amazing job.

Was shocked and saddened to hear of her death though it wasn't surprising, she'd been on a downward spiral for a long time, sadly she just could no longer fight her demons, it's reported that she died after taking a cocktail of prescription medication and booze, it's said she passed out and drowned in her hotel room bath in LA on Saturday.

Very sad and another wasted talent, may she finally be at peace now, RIP.
Thoughts are with her friends and family at this sad time.
