4. Meat Loaf, MLB All-Star Game, July 12, 1994
His moving rendition in front of 59,568 fans at Three Rivers Stadium was widely praised. How timely this post is ! Steven Tyler was back at it at the Patriots game Sunday. I saw/ heard the clips yesterday. Eh ... what you hear for years is what you get ... lol ... Some people are upset... some are taking the view that "that's Steven Tyler and so what" ... lol ... I remember going to work the day after Meat doing his rendition and having a non-Meat fan co-worker coming up to me to say "your boy did you proud" ... lol ... He sure did ! |

I just thought it was done in the Steven Tyler style, wasn't out of tune and didn't sound too bad at all. It just wasn't the big dramatic style that maybe people are used to when a National Anthem is performed. |
