Black Betty - ties that bond?
Ive always wondered why meat decided to put black betty in teh set for as lon gas he did. Its an odd song, and a black hymn. If im not mistaking, isnt this a 1800's slave song?
Ive always found meat doing this song odd, and im utterly thankful no racist remarks have ever come to fruitation. What, exactly, do you think is the reason meat decided to do such an ethnic song? |

and .. it was a damn good song to have in the encore set!! Caryl .. who if it HAD occasioned any racist remarks would have been utterly disappointed in the intelligence of those making them |
Always a fun song to hear live in my opinion. Anyone who would think this a racist song is probably ignorant enough to believe that Little Black Sambo was out to destroy the very fiber of multiculturalism.
