Favourite Soup?
My wife has just noticed a can of Heinz Lentil Soup in the cupboard. Sainsbury's are doing a six for something offer and it was one of the flavours I threw in the trolley ( 3xTomato, 1xMush, 1xChicken Noodle and 1xLentil).
She has, perhaps sarcastically, just asked me if Meat likes Lentil soup? So, I thought I might just ask that very question. Meat. Do you like Lentil soup? But, more importantly, what is everyone favourite soup? Mine, depending on my mood, is Mushroom. |

Soups for me personally are chicken soup, Manhattan clam chowder and New England clam chowder, not in order of preference. That changes according to mood. Sue Turtle soup is most definitely out! :-P |

From a tin Heinz Tomato is the only soup. From the Chinese round the corner it's Chicken and Sweetcorn!

Leek and Potato. Or a nice vegetable soup. Best of all though is Cawl, a Welsh stew.
|
My favourite is "Bowling For..."
Tasty. On an unreleated side note, I love Pea & Ham as well as Broccoli and Stilton soup. |
Chicken & Vegetable every time, although Minestrone is pretty good too.

I am really sorry but I wasn't completely honest with you yesterday. I did buy those three tins of tomato soup. But they weren't for my children. They were for me. I have a little problem. I am going through one of those tomato phases in my life. It is troubling me to such an extent that I went to see the doctor. He told me, "Don't worry, you'll be Vine in the morning". |
Pea and ham, proper pea & ham

It's not my favorite, but I do make and eat it, and it involves soaking rock hard peas from a cellophane bag, ham bones, perfectly sized little pieces of carrots and potatoes....little chunks of delicious ham (hence the ham bone).....lots of freshly ground black pepper.... ah, jeez, Mel! You've made me want to go get the stuff to make a pot! If I do, I'll send some down. :p  |

Thanks for the chowder recommendation. No clams but smoked haddock chowder. Delicious!! |
My sister in laws butternut squash she puts tomato, garlic, onion, potato and some other things in to an it is the most amazing soup I've ever eaten
|
Anything that's made at home. A few canned soups are OK for throwing onto something and shoving it into the oven when you're pushed for time, packets I never buy.
Favourites would be clam chowder, its close cousin cullen skink, good chicken soup, oxtail, lentil or pea and ham, and the remnants of scouse ;) Caryl |

REAL scouse is a superb option  I've never been inclined to stew up a scouser ;)
