Help, help, I need help!

Last night or early this morning, I was listening to the radio and heard a song that really hit me. I listened for quite a long time, but the DJ never said the title of the song. The woman singing it had a light voice, not quite soprano. Apparently she was singing to her boyfriend/husband/whatever, and it finally hit me that he was dying. Some of the lyrics were "Why must you leave me now," "We thought you'd sing again," "Why you and not me?" I wish I could remember more of them, but I wasn't listening that closely until I realized the guy was dying.
