What duet would you have Bonnie sing?

 As an afterthought from the thread discussing Bonnie Tyler being on HIAHB, I thoughtn this might be an interesting thread.

If you could go back in time and rearrange things so Meat and Bonnie did a duet together, which one would it be?

I don't know how many duets Bonnie has done. Only two come to mind right now so i've added them as options.

Beleive it or not I said "DYLAMLT". I always felt Bonnie would have fit that song perfectly.

BTW Neil, its "A Rockin' Good Way". Learn to spell. Yeesh.

 You know you've hit rock bottom when Wario points out your typos

Fixed.

My vote goes for a new duet. Paradise and Dead Ringer are already the 2 best duets in the world ever, let's not mess with them eh?

Dance In My Pants could be good, but could we please think of different lyrics to eliminate that phrase throughout the song?

Paul Richardson 10 Jul 2011 23:28

Only fools could mess with the past...

...because the only connection between Meat and Bonnie is' ''...total eclipse of the heart - turn around bright eyes !'

 The only time Meat and Bonnie have been on the same recording is A Kiss Is A Terrible Thing To Waste :bleh:

DJLeen 10 Jul 2011 23:46

Well, none of them. I find Patti's vocals suits the best with meat.

Yes, I agree with that 100%. Which is why I voted not to mess with the past

Ditto, however I would like to hear a new duet with Bonnie, that'd be cool

Smithie 11 Jul 2011 21:25

None. As I mentioned before, I don't like Bonnie's voice and it's gotten weaker as the years go by.

 But Patti is only featured on 5 of the twelve songs listed above.

Fair enough about not liking her her voice (although I do), but as for being weaker, I meant this poll to reflect what if she had sung Paradise in 77, or Dead Ringer in 81 etc

A Slice Of English 11 Jul 2011 22:10

I vote for Future. I think it would suit her vocals very well indeed.

ok, I see, but I still wouldn't change the original vocalists for her. I also think they could have found a much better voice to represent Steinman's female solo songs. Elaine Caswell, for one, has a better voice. Also Patti and Karine Hannah.

glamourgirl 12 Jul 2011 21:03

I wouldn't add her voice to any of the songs. Even if there was a new recording of a Steinman song like Braver Than We Are, Patti would sound much better on the song than Bonnie would.
