77. Intermezzo
This is the START OUT OF HELL & ARRIVE TO HEAVEN topic.
Let's Go to Rock 'n' Roll!!!!!! Intermezzo (10) I know it's not really a song. It's only an intermezzo but I'd like to talk about it like a song. I love it. I love the penny whistle's sound. You feel romantic when you are listening it. A little bit ethnic. And the ethnic is romantic. But I have to say this song should be after Why Isn't That Enough and the next should be Man Of Steel. Well, it's an amazing melody, better than the other Meat's "intermezzo", Back Into Hell. My score: 10 Average: 7.62 |
Iagree White Of High,
Ilove it ,it's a beautiful piece of music.Wish it was longer! 10/10 |
same here bren!! its fab!! 10/10!!
|
Hate it, can't stand it... really filler stuff... and it should've been a seperate track so you can skip it more easiely....
And how anyone can give it a 10 (which is the 'perfect' score, and should thus only be given to 'perfect' songs) is totally beyond me! a 2 for the effort. |
It's ok...i'm quite neutral about it to be honest - don't love it, don't hate it either
5/10 |
Mostly, I ignore it. It isn't a song and it doesn't suits the album. So it remains without my rating.
|
Love it, reminds me of those Highland films like Braveheart or Highlander for some reason(don't ask why, don't know myself) but excellent piece of music.10/10 :D
|
I hate it. I listened to it a few times, but I don't like it.
My score: 3 |
I think it's beautiful, gives me a very calm feeling (like everything is allright) and I feel it should be right here on the album.
Beautiful 'brigde' between different fases in life, to me. 9,5/10 Great day to you, Mariella |
Well, I don't hate it like the Neighbourhood intermezzo (the Fiesta something). But this time ignorance really is bliss, this is pretty much nothing for me. I can't understand how somebody even compares this with Back into Hell which does have an idea and a story in it...
5/10 |
I do like it in its own right it is very soothing, but personally I'm sure sure that this is the right place for it.
6/10 |
i too find it very soothing..hauntingly so...beautiful..and right behind one of my fave songs from the album...
10/10 tink...XO |
it sounds like the Titanic theme. And you all don't know shid about this one. Why people don't think about the fact that they put this on the record.

i'm not sure what you're saying here..do you think it's a good thing or a bad thing...????? tink...XO |
im confused!! what exactly is bart saying?? i agree that it sounds like the titanic theme, i thought that when i first heard it, but then it changes (i think)
i still like it. its v calming. Didnt meat say at the signing that he put in there because it was something to do with one of the characters on star trek?? :? |

Not quite sure what to make of Intermezzo. I often just skip to the next track (if I can be bothered to get up). |

i think it was the fact that his favorite character played the penny whistle i think. thats why he put it on there i think, but i think someone needs to confirm this?? he said it at the signing. i have a photo of him pointing while he was talkin about it which is why i remember. :D
hope this helps?? |
i love this bit of music it is very beautiful and adds a break between the pieces of the album. it is a wonderful piece of music in between two wonderful songs. 8/10
Testify it is the character Captain Picard in the "Next Generation" who plays the penny whistle. its in the episod called " the inner light" and its a resican flute in startrack gargon. Meat Loaf also mentioned which character it was on one of the radio interviews he did, its also on a topic on off topic some where i think. hope that helps. |
thanks
i knew i was on the right lines :? makes a change |
I do like this, it seems the right length to me, and acts as a great bridge....however... to me it is exactly that, a bridge and not a full piece of music. So I would have to give it a:

And personally, I find comparing an album to a movie like comparing a car to a aeroplane. It just doesn't make sense. Good movies, really good movies, you watch them how many times in a livetime? 50? 100? Great books, how many times do you read them? 10? 20? And albums? Many times more... And sure, Intermezzo, may fit into the concept, but I don't regard CHSIB as a concept album. I see it more like an album with a theme where all songs are connected too, than as a 'real' concept album (like "The Wall", "Operation: MindCrime" or "Streets-A Rock Opera"). |
