You can get quite good high quality small video cams these days with USB and in built memory. The Flip ones are great in my opinion and I have tested a few from their range. The HDs have great picture and actually also have good sound. (which is good for gigs btw. ;-) )
They have a new one coming out mid Nov in the UK (3rd generation with image stabilisation). It's about £160, but you can get the older ones cheaper. It's worth investing imo. Their share software makes it easy to upload to YouTube without losing quality or having crazy sound sync problems. Failing that you can easily get a second hand Digital tape video cam for £50 on eBay. But you'd have to capture it onto the computer via USB or Firewire using Windows Movie Maker or i-Movie on the MAC and then upload to YouTube making the whole process a bit more time consuming and fiddly.
