Fire Ball 15 Jun 2003 08:00

I'm here

I'm at home, can't walk around,in pain, can't sit, trying to play San diego
but I don't think so. Doctor I believe will tell me no, ask about the first 3 shows before surgery she just said no way! Trying to get to rehearse by the 25th. Only had one day and then got ill in bed NYC 3 days before they could give me pain killers to get me back to LA. My bum has been a pin cushion. By the way NZ co. Will change it's tune they were not to have released the record and should have waited for australia. They will release a single and there will be a relaunch of they record this year. I'll be fine it will just take time. Thanks for all the get wells. Going to check in to this front row ticket thing, it makes me really mad.

Why isn't that enough 10/10

Re: I'm here

Oh, Meat!!! So HAPPY and RELIEVED to hear from you, but OH SO SAD to see all you've been through!! None of us had ANY idea this was going on!!

You MUSTN'T try to rush back to work, even though I know you want to and you feel obligated!!! Your HEALTH and well-being is SO MUCH MORE IMPORTANT to ALL of us than anything else--than any concert, any tour--anything!!!!!

I guess I'm one of the saddest here, since I'll be losing, now, two of the concerts I'd hoped to go to, with San Diego probably out, too. But I tell you from the bottom of my heart that the sadness is there only for second, because it's far more important to me that you give yourself enough time to fully recover!! You have 15/16 months of hard touring ahead of you and you HAVE to be strong enough for it!!

So, don't worry about the people out here. WE will be all right, just as long as YOU are!!

Thank you for taking the time to write to us. I just happened to be here first, but I know that everyone is going to be delighted to hear from you! (Especially Shane and the problems in NZ!! )

Take good care. Know that we are all thinking of you and hoping for a speedy and full recovery!!

Sending MUCH love,
MB

Fireball,
very sorry to hear of your recent difficulties. Certainly not what you need at this time, or any other for that matter.

Glad to hear you are back home, hopefully that will help your rest and recovery. I'm sure your doctor will give you good advice and urge you to take plenty of time to heal. Just DO IT! Take the time and recover, cancel a few more concerts if need be. Your well-being is foremost.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by and keep us informed.

Best wishes,
T

Hi Meat,

Thank you so much for stopping by. Makes me very sad to know you are in any kind of pain, aren't these 'painkillers' working?
Still, good to know you WILL be okay.

Please take VERY good care of yourself. I hope all our love and prayers reach you!

You will be fine IF you give this the time it needs to heal, you know that...

Will continue to keep thinking of you,

Mariella

White, could you please include Meats rating of 'Why isn't that enough' at Tyre Tracks!!??
Hope you will make an exception in this particular case
This could also be the release dat for Why in NZ (thanks, MB!) NO idea which it is!?
But anyway, I AM smiling again!

Asha 15 Jun 2003 13:15

It's great to hear from you Fire Ball.

I hope you get well soon.
Like almost everybody said, just get better first, then get back to strenght and only then think about touring.

Getting back to full speed after surgery takes a long time so don't over do it, you'll only regret it in the long run. And you have a mighty long run ahead....

All my best wishes (with some friendly advice)

Asha

I'm Here

Meat,

I'm so glad to hear you're going to be ok. You realize we're all like mother hen's don't you? We're all going to worry about you whether you like it or not. LOL

Seriously tho', the important thing is that you got the medical attention you needed and now what you really need is just to work on getting well. (I hate feeling like a pin cushion too) I know it's hard to sit still and do that but we all would rather you took the time than not and then it turn into something REALLY serious. If you get bored or need something to do, we'll all be here to keep you company so you don't get lonely. At times like this we all can be really supportive and we'll be there for you.

On an odd little note, yesterday I went back to work at the radio station I was at previously to find we've kind of become our own little conglomerate. Kind of like Clear Channel but on a MUCH smaller scale. Down the hall from the country station I work at is our "Classic Rock" station. I said something to the girl on the air about your tour and surgery and she said "Well, he's not coming to Denver so there's nothing I can use on the air." You bet I had to correct her on that and boy did that cause a ruckus and a flurry of activity! I know of at least a couple of other fans of yours who were jealous of me from last year and I just found a bunch more. From what I can tell already it looks like there may be a few people that would love to do some promotion for the concert in Denver and there's my push to get them interested in the new CD. If not for them then for the other station that plays more current music. It really helps that the PD & MD are fans. Just wanted to share my little push for airplay. If I can't play it then by gosh, I'm hunting down someone who can and will!

Please get well soon Meat. More than anything, we want you healthy. Once that's accomplished, then you can go back to work. OK? OK.

Another mother hen . . .

Lady B
