Is the Modern Girl Video out on DVD?

Hi. I've been a Loaf fan for a while but only found out last week that one of my friends featured in the 'Modern Girl' video way back in the 80s. This was the one with lots of girlie motor cross riders- which is how she got recruited. She is the one Meat gives a cuddle to about 2 and a half minutes in. I have found a grainy on line version but I am desperately searching for a copy to buy as a surprise pressie-she has not seen it for years. Can anyone help as i can't find one anywhere :-(

Nothings ever been officially released.

I have a DVD of Hits out of hell which has the video on it

HOOH with Modern Girl? Never heard of that.

In fact I think this is highly unlikely, as the rights to the HOOH clips and the Bad Attitude album (and clips?) are owned by two different companies.

Thats why you only find clips from BOOH, DR and MATLAF on HOOH.

well how about the UK HOOH with MG instead of revved up? or the new HOOH with AFL and L4U?

RadioMaster 19 Aug 2010 23:17

Well, the new one has something to do with some company fusions I think? Inst it right that one company now owns most of the stuff since they bought one of the others?

Sorry for not naming any, I get totally list between Sony/Arista/Cleveland/Virgin/Mercury/etc

I've never seen HOOH with All Revved Up, i've never seen any vid for All Revved Up, and MG is what we're talking about.

It's never been released as far as i'm aware.

Its neither. its a promo "video" to promote the MATLAF Tour. He did a Midnight video as well. Im still in search of Promised Land...

Similar to JTG's:

as for the MG Video i think its one of the four best videos (the other three being sacred anymore, dry eye, and Objects)

Evil One 19 Aug 2010 23:44

Whenever I see Meat from this period I always think of Zed from Police Academy.

Whenever Wario mentions good videos and doesn't include Anything For Love or I'd Lie For You I think of .

What you think is a "promo video" is in fact a performance at the Noel Edmonds show.

Considering the ZDF logo, I tend to believe that that's just another TV performance as well.

As for a Modern Girl DVD release: As far as I know, it's not available on anything that has been released under the "Meat Loaf" label but I once saw a compilation of rock music videos that apparently included that video. Unfortunately I can't remember its title.

Well whats the difference to a tv mime Performance and promo?

Evil One 20 Aug 2010 01:25

One is a mimed TV performance and one is a cheapy music video the likes of which used to feature on MTV etc.
