Thanks for the new link - this one worked! :-)

I don't know a lot about the drums, but sounds very impressive to me, was interesting to watch too :-)

Well done man you are a real pro on the drums, you don't even have to look at them when playing. You are brilliant too. Excellent video... keep up the good work.

Couch Potato 12 Sep 2010 02:59

awww thanks everyone for the compliemnts, Ive been playing 7 years this month, i love it. :D

I honestly believe more children should be necourage into music, at a young age, through school and parents.

Get them off rhe xobox band hero thing, get them into a room learning

:D

Steve6 12 Sep 2010 03:02

I agree with that you learn things faster when you're younger, and you become a better player too. But I suppose you're never to young to start learning anything. If I started playing the drums now I'd be at the same level as you in 7 years time, and I'd only be 29. ;-)

Impressive, thanks for sharing, the lead singer has a very unusual voice, i like it !

How do you know? You might well suck, even after 7 years. Why don't you try, it will give you something to do.

I still suck. I cant play 'rock' - ie the who, etc, because I dont have a huge kit, nor do I aspore to be like Keith Moon.
My influences are Cream's Ginger Baker/Mitch Mitchell/Steve Gadd and a ton of old blues/jazzy drummer.

I learnt from playing along to records - indie music (stereophonics, oasis, travis) and progressed from there.

Do it, your never too old to learn. I give drum lessons to a 48 yr old

Oooooooh I liked that ~ thanks for sharing.

I've always wanted to play the drums, when I was about 12 I begged my mum all year for a drum kit for christmas ~ I got a clarinet :| ~ not quite the same!

xx

Well you can't get worse you can only get better. I have plenty of things to keep me occupied anyway. ;-) I'm as busy as a bee.

IMO the drums are the easiest of instruments to play. All you need is a good a beat, and perfect timing. I tried playing the piano and boy is that tough. Musical notation is not my specialty.

Couldn't disagree more on that ridiculous statement.

Sarge 12 Sep 2010 17:45

Ditto. Only a person who has never sat behind a drum set can say something like that.
