Meat's I'll kill you if you dont come back music video?

Was this ever released on anything?

RadioMaster 11 Aug 2010 08:35

not officially. It was aired on tv as part of the 1981 "the return of meat loaf" documentary" and I think it's very likely supposed to be a part of the dead ringer movie.

Wario 11 Aug 2010 09:29

thats really sad. the video is excellent. IMO the best of the DRFL videos

RadioMaster 11 Aug 2010 09:30

i agree

AndrewG 11 Aug 2010 09:57

RadioMaster 11 Aug 2010 09:58

This is all that comes up when you do a search for the song

Wario 11 Aug 2010 11:35

The music video is blocked in germany. thats why.

Evil One 11 Aug 2010 11:44

This song is one of Meat's (and Jim's) forgotten classics.

MeatGrl1 11 Aug 2010 12:17

I do love that video, would of loved to own it as I totally agree, it's one of the best. Mabe Caryl has it on Republic Of Loafdom but it's a very long time since I visited that site....

Wario 11 Aug 2010 12:24

yep ROL have it posted, but its just 7 clips.

I have that tape lying about here someplace. It looks like the Dead Ringer videos on the Hits Out of Hell dvd. I have traded it with a few folks. If I can find my copy this weekend I will try and post it somplace.

Wario 11 Aug 2010 19:30

Posted it. Just hoped their was some sort of official release.

Thing is, its blocked in germany:

A lot of people gripe about Meat's voice during this time, but I think it was actually good. He stayed in a certain range most of the time, but it was more operatic vocally that most of the other albums.

This would argue otherwise:

Good Lord, is that from the Dortmund concert that was shown on TV?

Evil One 12 Aug 2010 21:42

Yes. It certainly isn't the best.

AndrewG 12 Aug 2010 22:05

Did Jim perform with Meat in 1981 or was that an alternative audio recording that was used? Never knew about that. Thought they pretty much stopped performing together in 1979.

Yeah his voice does sound crap on there. My god.

It's Steve Buslowe you hear do the spoken part on that recording.

AndrewG 12 Aug 2010 22:20

Sounded very much like Jim to me certainly at the beginning but that does make sense whether it was Buslowe or Jacobs or some creepy lovechild they had.

so the question is... davey johnston was in the vids on guitar for the dead ringer songs, and performed live with band a few times such as germany... yet theres speculation the live vids might be fragments of the dead ringer movie... which is likely to have happened first?? the tour or the movie?

AndyK 13 Aug 2010 00:27

I thought the movie included footage of the tour.

duke knooby 13 Aug 2010 00:38

if so, the tour happened first... the deadringer vids arent live, looks to me like promo vids, like the bat ones
