Meat Loaf news articles from the 1970's claiming he'd died?
I remember Meat talking about news articles back in the 70's where they said he had passed out and to have died. i remember him saying something about this.
I was wondering, is their anyone who has these articles they can scan? be an interesting read. To quote from the autobiography: "During one of the shows in Australia-Adelaide-they took a picture of me lying down, passed out on stage with the headline MEAT LOAF DEAD" (pg. 199) |
You might want to edit that title otherwise you're going to cause a few heart attacks round this parts!

I've saved him the bother ...

Yeah, Im very very sorry. I didn't really think before titling the thread lol...

So was there a "Meat Is Dead" conspiracy back then? I mean, the guy stopped touring, canceled his second record...Jim must've known the fans would have been heartbroken, so he hired some immitator for Dead Ringer...It all makes sense! I bet if you play Dead Ringer For Love backwards it'll speak to you. haha

 So what was the original name of the thread * in anticipation*
|
Neil ... check you know where ...
|
 Chris, you really are a numpty :nope:

I've read or heard Meat talk about how he'd get worked up to do the shows and he'd have to have oxygen near after the shows. He was a very large guy ( at that time)and if you watch him preform in some of the videos from the late 70's you can clearly see how much energy he is using. He gives 200% and it had to take a toll.

I always felt he gave twice the effort of any other singer. He puts it all out there.

Currently he gives more effort then God, let alone singer. |
