Actually it isn't.
The bacteria that is filtered from your nose may help you to develop immunity to a wider range of bacterial infections, your immune system will become stronger. However, this works if you're in pretty good health in the first place. If you're a fat sack of lard who visits the doctor on a regular basis for whatever reason and have a weak immune system, then eating bogey's might just kill you off.
