Finally, the 3rd single!!
 

The third single out of CHSIB is coming! In the middle of July, "Because Of You" will be released as the next single in Germany. I'm very happy and I'm overwhelmed about this news! "Because Of You" is such a great song. The 3rd single will be fantastic!!! And I hope "Shadowland" will be on it as a B-side track. But the single of "Because Of You" will only come out in Germany and maybe Netherlands.

But don't be sad! In the UK, there also comes a new single out. But it's not "Because Of You". At the end of July, "Testify" will be the next single in the UK! So, for the english people it's also reason to be very happy, cause "Testify" is such a great song, too.

I haven't heard anything about promo videos to these songs yet. But that doesn't mean, that there are no videos planned.

It already has a video, a decent single edit (which CHSIB didn't) so I totally don't understand it...the single edit of Testify cuts out the best bit!

No, it seems that isn't just a rumor. And it isn't just posted there. It's also listed on 'News' there. I don't know where Eva has this information from, I should ask her.

I don't know all of the sources, ofcourse, but Fire Ball is one of them at least. He talked about this, didn't know if it was 'official' yet.
So I think there is a pretty good change this is true.

Testify is a song I truly 'believe' in!! Just hope they will shoot a video for this brilliant song.
I don't know anything about BOY being released in Holland aswell. But that doesn't mean it's not happening. Love the song too, but Testify is my absolute favourite!

10th Street Entertainment (Meat's management) have confirmed that "Because Of You" will be the new single in Germany and Holland, and that "Testify" will be released in the UK. The video situation is being worked on right now.

I can't tell you how excited I am that "Testify" is to be the next single in the UK. This is the one I'd been hoping for! :mrgreen: It would be really cool to have Meat fronting a big gospel choir in the video! 8)

CHSIB (the single) was absolutely great, but with the lack of input from the record-company, it Couldn't reach #1. It did so much better then they expected though!!

Let's make **** sure this one goes where it deserves to go!!!

Both Because of YOu and Testify are good choices. Both have hit potential. I think Love You Out Loud would be a good choice too.

About Meat's management... I thought it was left bank??

I agree LOVE YOU OUT LOUD is brilliant too, and would be another good candidate for release as a single.

Why is it being released at the end of July? That's during the US leg of the tour so there will be no promotion for the single (other than the video).

Testify is less commercial than CHSIB so surely it requires MORE promotion in order for it to be a hit.

Maybe the record company has some big marketing plan but to me, it would make more sense to release any single around the time that they are in UK and to fill every hour with them recording TV shows to promote the single. But then I've never understood why they're playing a concert way out in Plymouth anyway....

Absolutely agree with you Mariella. "Testify" always stood out to me as a single. It's the ultimate feel-good song. Would be amazing live in concert too. It would really rock the arenas! :D

What exciting news and I totally agree with you both, Testify is an outstanding track. From the very first listen I knew that song was special. It screams to be performed live, and now it seems that may be a reality! Can't wait for the video either. What great news to start out the weekend with.

I think there will be more promotion to come for "Testify" and "BOY" Sue. Classic Rock magazine have already said in their current issue that they have an interview with Meat for future publication. We don't know what else Meat may have done promo wise while he was in the UK and Europe recently which is being held back until the new singles get released. Maybe this will be when we will get the VH-1 "Meat Loaf Reveals ...." show which was originally scheduled for their Meat Loaf night.

I have to disagree with you about "Testify" being less commercial than "CHSIB". I thought the first time I heard it, and still do, that it has enormous potential as a single. It's certainly very different to most of what Meat has done before, and the unconverted (excuse the pun) may not instantly recognise this as a Meat song. This isn't necessarily a bad thing and it may even have a broader appeal. It would also work brilliantly live. I'm keeping the faith on this one! :lol:

Plymouth does seem a strange choice for the July concert but it's wonderful to have the opportunity to see Meat play a small venue in the UK. It's just a pity he didn't choose Guernsey! :lmao:
