Thought I'd just share with you all the only time I missed a Meatloaf concert  I had a ticket along with my two sisters and my brother. The only problem was I was about 8 months pregnant! The day of the concert I had an antennatal appointment in the morning, when I had my bloodpressure taken it was very high, must have been all the excitement  Anyway I had to see the consultant who said Ineeded to be admitted to hospital for checks and bedrest! I was mortified, I had to think quick, I didn't want to miss the concert  I began to tell a few little or big lies  I told him my husband was working away from home and I did'nt have anyone to look after my son Jordan who was 4 at the time. No way was I going to tell them the real reason I did'nt want to go to stay that night. Anyway they told me it was my choice but if Ichoose not to go in I could be putting my life at risk and also my babys. What could I do ? I took the sensible option and went into hospital,a few weeks later I had my second son Nathan and everything was fine  I'm sure any of you would have made the same choice as me, but it took me a while to get over missing the concert.

besty, meat has said on the uk tour topic he is adding another dublin date (so you could go there) OR he THINKS there might be another belfast date added to. Keep phoning the odyssey!

Besty01 - I was very happy when I read this lastest development. I really felt for you when you foirst posted this about losing the first ticket

Meatmadpat - I think you made the right decision...... however giving birth at the concert might have got you a back stage pass  :lmao:

Guppie 14 Jun 2003 12:14

And Meatmadpat: of course you did the right thing. Nothing is worth risking your or your kids life for.
