Meat Loaf FAN or MANIAC?

Maniac: You can identify each song, album, and track number within the first 10 seconds of a song.

Fan: At a fair, you notice with disappointment that a poster booth has no Meat Loaf pictures, so you quietly walk away.
Maniac: Upon reaching the aforementioned booth you ask the guy running it if they have any Meat Loaf. If he responds with 'Meat Loaf? He’s OLD.' your friends have to restrain you from throttling him. Violently.

Fan: You enjoy listening to bootlegs.
Maniac #1: You cheer after every song when listening to a boot.
Maniac #2: You call out song requests when listening to boots, regardless of the set list on the back.

Fan: You know Meat’s real name.
Maniac: You know Meat’s mother’s maiden name.

Fan: You wear your favourite Meat Loaf shirt to his concerts.
Maniac: You wear Meat Loaf shirts (exclusively) everyday...concert or no.

Fan: You have Meat Loaf wallpaper for windows
Maniac: You have Meat Loaf posters all over your actual window.

Fan: You read Meat Loaf books
Maniac: You write Meat Loaf books (that never get published)

Fan: You like the way "Meat Loaf" looks on paper.
Maniac: You like the way "Meat Loaf" looks on your skin....after you have gotten it tattooed into your ankle.

Fan: You know where Meat lives.
Maniac: The reason you know where Meat lives is because you are hiding in his bushes.

Fan: You recognise the first few bars (or notes!) of Bat Out Of Hell immediately.
Maniac: You hear those notes from another room, throw down the book you're reading, spill your drink and dart about trying to find the source. You then watch an entire TV show about cricket (or something worse) because of their use of the first 4 bars or so of the aforementioned song.

Fan: Every time you read something about Meat's next release/s half of you is worried and the other half is delighted. You ponder the situation until delight cancels out concern
Maniac: You find out something new about Meat's next release/s and your mind starts spinning. You find yourself arguing both sides back and forth. Aloud. On a busy city train.

Fan: Every night you pray to thank God for Meat Loaf.
Maniac: There's no need to thank God for Meat Loaf, because Meat Loaf IS God.

Well, a little of both, but these two did hit home. When I went to purchase Meat's autobiography, the lady at the shop said "Isn't he dead?", that's when I said nevermind, and bought the book at another shop.

I've also been threatening for years to get a Bat tatooed on my ankle and this last winter came very close. Didn't do it, couldn't have it done, hate needles. Maybe someday.

Like White of High, I'm a fan .. a devoted fan and a long time one. My friends would say I'm obsessed, but acknowledge it's a magnificent obsession .. I work pretty much full time on the ROL website .. but can't say any of the Maniac descriptions really applied fully.. and some, like bootlegs and branding never, ever would :))

You guys are probably gonna think i'm really really sad :oops: but my Meaty dream is to have Meat Loaf autograph my shoulder with a perminent marker, and to then have that tattood over - so i'd have a lasting momento of him. :D

Hafta admit - i love tattoo's anyways, i already have four, so one more aint gonna make much difference :twisted:

Does this qualify me for maniac status then, or what? :P

I have no fear of needles whatsoever .. when studying physiology I had to stab myself countless times for blood samples .. but I wouldn't brand myself for anyone :)) .. not even to have "This side down" tattoed on my behind :)))

Heat, this is so twisted....last week on my birthday I was talking about getting a tattoo as a way to fend off feeling quite so old. Any that was my exact thought, right down to the permanent marker! I have no tattos, but maybe someday I will get just one- it would have to be something very special, and an authentic ML sig would qualify! :lol:
