in the song 2 outta 3, what does 2 outta 3 have to do with spliting up with someone. as far as i can see the only relevence, is that he sings about 3 ppl: himself, the ex he never stopped lovin and the new ex!

The song could be about splitting up with someone, or it could be a rejection (without ever having gotten to the relationship stage).

I think he is saying, in a platonic way, that he needs and wants this new person (two things), but he won't love the new person (a third thing) because of the person he loved long ago.

so that means she has 2 outta 3....he wants her(1) and needs her(2) but aint gonna love her(3)

I don't think it's at all platonic thou'

All I know is that this song always makes me cry when I hear our dear Meat sing this live! Gets me every time!
