Someone just leaked a new song on youtube :(
 

A song was just leaked by some punk who snuck a camera in the Rock & roll fantasy camp and recorded the whole damned song under Meat's nose.

I didnt watch it, but a friend sent me a link. i am not going to watch it.

I'm not that surprised to be honest, leaks are more frequent now in this day and age. I don't really think it'll affect Meat too much in the long run, one song leak isn't really that big a deal, I mean hell Dream Theaters newest album leaked a few weeks and it was still their biggest selling album to date and cracked the top 10 in the US.

Things like this is not new and is bound to happen, just like when Meat had Bat 3 played on internet radio, it was ripped from the stream, and leaked onto the net. If you want to avoid stuff like this, best thing is not to play it, keep it under wraps until it's release. The track sounds different to usual Meat material, not saying anything more.

I suspect Chief is going to be mad. How damn disrespectful to him to leak this.

If I didn't believe to know better, I'd almost suspect that video was a marketing trick and a bait exclusively designed for WarioLoaf. :twisted:

Ok, 3 things:

1) People who leak that kinda stuff really ought to have more consideration for what they're doing and allow the artist to launch the album as they plan to. I work for Ford and know what kind of disruption it causes when a new car picture gets leaked too soon - spoils a lot of hard work. I wasn't there, but I'm sure it would have been mentioned that it is top secret pre launch etc etc. Shame on them.

2) Having said all that in no 1, objectively in this particular case, sound quality is not that great, so I can't imagine anyone recording the streamed version and using that instead of a released MP3 or whatever. Therefore, no obvious financial harm done, and it is free and widely available publicity for the new album, which may lead to more sales than would otherwise have been the case. It could even have been released with the blessing of those involved for this very reason - releasing the track of TMIL certainly raised interest and awareness of Bat3, and although that wasn't a planned leak and they were sort of forced into officially making it available, I bet they learned that it can be a useful appetiser...

3) Song sounds f-ing awesome, can't wait to hear more of them (via approved distribution channels, of course!)

Song is stunning.

Shame they've posted that after Meat was so secretive for so long, only giving small clips. But I couldn't help but listen to one minute of it, then I turned it off so as not to hear too much. What I did hear was epic, and Meat's voice sounds so loud and clear. That segment he let loose before where the only line heard was: "the sweetest dream you've ever seen", he almost sounded like he did in the late 80s.

I'm buying the cd. Just so Chief is aware ;) That song is mad awesome. MADNESS!

i can't wait for the CD either.....it is disappointing someone leaked this since Meat has been so protective of the CD with the info he has been giving us via twitter.... :-) thank you for the Tweets Meat :)
