Would you really want to dress up as Micheal Jackson 4 Halloween?

That is my question.....would you???? I was out at the local Walmart shopping and came across the costume. It is licensed as a offical Micheal Jackson costume. You can buy the wig, costume, glasses, and what costume isn't complete with out the glove. I mean come on people Target pulls the Illegal alien costume that is a alien mask with a orange jump suit say Illegal Alien and holding a green card, but Walmart can sell Jackson. I feel in one sense it is to soon, and why does the family want to profit from this???? I think this is the dumbest idea, so I am waiting to see if I get a Jackson zombie trick or treat'rr this year. Plus I think if I dress up my scream dummy in this costume I won't get any kids to walk up the porch.

Dave

AndyK 23 Oct 2009 12:04

 He'd have to do a poll to find out which is the best King Kong film as well though :bleh:

MeatGrl1 30 Oct 2009 03:56

lol yeah but you do that for a living i mean on halloween its just for fun unless you are working on halloween lol but i think that since michael jackson died people are just going over the top for michael jackson even people who don't like him are even going on about can't people just get over it  but then if the fans are that sad and if they wanna waste money on someone who died then let them

MeatGrl1 31 Oct 2009 03:32

Jo that was harsh !!

Michael has had a big impact on people, and I don't agree with people wanting to be him, but he's got his fair few impersonators. Fans are still mourning and it doesn't help when there's comments like that thrown about as if we as fans shouldn't still support him because he has passed as a fan you claim to be I'm shocked you even said that  !!

bobbin 01 Nov 2009 00:07

people dressed as MJ in previous years, why not this? Lets not forget the popularity of thriller.

Personally it's not for me but who am i to judge anyone who wants to dress up as anything.

MeatGrl1 01 Nov 2009 03:30

Michael said in an interview back in 87 I believe that he thinks it's fun, if it's done in good taste it's fun. So begs the question how close to Michael are these masks and how close are these costumes that they are selling.

I'm not sure that Michael was that close to Michael after all the various "alterations" he had done.

Anyway, if the masks are made of plastic, they're close enough.

Dave

MeatGrl1 01 Nov 2009 04:46

Dave that's not nice !!

In fact if you look at this;

http://i36.tinypic.com/qxmdtf.jpg

There is no difference in his apperance and he's confessed to having two nose jobs, the second one was because he couldn't breathe, however I am wasting my time trying to even explain so back on topic, as I said before !!

I rest my case :-)

MeatGrl1 01 Nov 2009 04:50

He had a condition called Viteligo... But you wouldn't understand that obviously !

daveake 01 Nov 2009 05:02

You mean vitligo, but I'm not sure what your point is. I was just making fun of the fact that a "Michael Jackson mask" might take many forms, only one of which the real MJ would actually match at any one point in his life. I wasn't suggesting why he had plastic surgery, chemical treatments or anything else done to his body.

I don't think anyone can deny that his appearance changed radically throughout much of his adult life, and not in a good way, and vitligo wasn't responsible for all of that change.

MeatGrl1 01 Nov 2009 05:07

Dave,
I am not going to go into this now.
I simply said a quote I thought was relevent to the topic .
Yes Ok that is what I meant, but you knew I meant that though.
My point is simple, really.

Anyway back on topic as this has U-turned quite a bit off topic now !
As I said before the last few posts;

Funny how the 'This Is It' film is rated PG, Michael Jackson has been dead how long? and kids still aren't safe to be left on their own...:lmao:

MeatGrl1 01 Nov 2009 05:17

As I've seen it twice I would imagine the PG rating is for the Thriller revamp... But that is taking this even further off topic  !!

Pudding 01 Nov 2009 05:24

Oh OK :wtf:

Back on topic. I'd dress as Michael Jackson for halloween, can't see a problem in it, he looked scary and behaved weirdly.

and you obviously have no experience of it, i have a couple of friends who have this condition, where is his blotchy skin?? It's an insult to these people that he either pretended he had the condition or covered it up with bleaching. No other person suffering with this conditon as far as i know experiences complete whitening of the skin, in fact most sufferers would prefer that, at least they wouldn't get stared at every day but ignorant folk. And isnt it funny that he 'developed' this condition right around the time he was getting conscious of his looks :hmm:

Get off your soapbox if you have only read about this stuff on the internet or even worse have taken his word for it.

I have several innterviews where he states this !!!
He said it was on his father's side of the family and started just around Thriller time, and if you look at images around that time there is several patchy parts on his neck, however I am not getting into this right now as this is a MEAT LOAF forum and not a MICHAEL JACKSON one !
