quick Alive question

Is there any version out there that doesnt have the monstro fade out during the first ten seconds?

RSG 26 Sep 2009 03:50

Let me get this out of the way and say I don't underestimate your intelligence ;)
But if you note how the song starts on the album, that's how it was meant to be. If you're looking for something without the strings, you'd have to find a edited copy that somebody has made themselves. But Dude, It only lasts like three seconds! Hahaha

well, I might be splitting hairs, but it's annoying when you listen to the song on it's own, not on the album. Let's say they would have released it as a single, then it would have made no sense to include the outro from a song that's not even on the single.

This is not the most professional way of editing, as usually you end a song first and then start another. Leave the mixing to the DJs ;)

That's because you are young and only used to this whole singles marketing malarky. Many albums out there are thought of as experiences and contain bonus tracks, gaps in the middle etc etc. You can't blame people for being unprofessional at editing if the song wasn't meant to be a single in the first place.

hence me asking if there was soemthing like a single version out there, that didnt include the strings ;)

Wasn't there another version of Bat 3 with the songs in a different order? Might be a possibilty.

AndrewG 26 Sep 2009 14:26

Welcome to the Neighbourhood had the same thing with the wind noices etc flowing into I'd lie for you and other songs too I believe. This type of stuff would only be removed if indeed they edited it in some way or release other cuts of the song which I'm sure exist, which I don't think they did for Bat 3.
Some artists go over the top with this experience thing, Janet Jackson springs to mind. If you then play the album on shuffle it makes no sense.

RadioMaster 26 Sep 2009 15:44

wasnt the wind thing on the very best of?

Evil One 26 Sep 2009 16:10

Yes, between Paradise and Heaven Can Wait. When it was rereleased with the tracks in a different order they left the wind effects in!

On Welcome To The Neighbourhood there is wind between Where The Rubber Meets The Road and I'd Lie For You. Also 45 Seconds Of Ecstacy flows into Runnin' For The Red Light.

Also wind is generated whenever Warioloaf opens his backpack.

I have never heard 45 seconds run into Running For The Red Light. 45 Seconds ends, and RFTRL starts almost straight away, but not run into if I am correct. :?

AndrewG 28 Sep 2009 00:07

You're wron gabout 45 seconds running into redlight.

Not a dry eye's end SFX runs into amnesty, amnesty's end SFX runs into ITITLK, and Martha's end SFX run into Where angels sing.

Lets not forget the worst of them all:

Execution Day running into RRM & One more Kiss running into BBIS

PS: My backpack has already turned 4 people into stone, it doesn't have to be blamed for any more damage.

I'll need to dig up my US version of WttN then, as my Euro version does no such thing. The only SFX are between Rubber and Lie for You afaik.
