When I've got my mobile soaked I've been advised to take the battery out, lay it on a towel and put it in the airing cupboard... it still didn't work properly... I'd say that since you can't take the battery out of an i-Pod, you're out of luck... sorry...

I've got a shuffle for running...now it's never been submerged in water but let's just say it rains a lot in this country! And on the odd hot dry days I have been known to tip the odd bottle of water over my head and the shuffle has survived these kinds of encounters with water (the headphones didn't like it so much though).
A friend of mine runs with an ipod nano in a kind of pouch thing on the top of her arm, so that must get wet too...but it's still not being submerged. So I'd say you can go out in the rain with them just don't go swimming :-P |
there is a rumour you can bury wet electronic devices in a bowl of dry rice for a night, that should such the humidity out of the thing. Never tried it though.

Now I really have to enquire....what's the reason behind asking this question??
