Patti is gonna be at The Indig02 on Sat 24th Jan with The SAS Band
:cheer: http://www.theindigo2.com/ You can get tickets from Ticketmaster by clicking on the link :D Last yrs shows were amazing and I'm sure this yrs will be equally as good if not better :cheer: Hope to see some of you there  |
Gah! >_< Take plenty of pictures for me. I had to sell my ticket due to uni work, but it will be amazing and I hope loads of people get to go! :)
|
Why do I have this horrible feeling that the Indigo2 or whatever it is, is in the London area? :-( Gah...! Shame.
Deb please please take your trusty camera/video recorder! Real shame I won't be able to go to this but I am sure those who do will have an absolutely amazing time! |
I really want to go... And it's in London.. God it's tempting as hell and on top of that it's Patti... Deb thanks for the heads up .
|
Sadly can't make this, what a bummer :(.
|
Patti will be gutted
Pud  |
Just a quick review for now, more thoughts when I have more time ... What a night!
From the opening act with James Toseland (World Superbikes and Moto GP star) on vocals right through to the last chord of the final encore the place rocked! Patti was the first guest vocalist on stage with the SAS band, starting with another version of Respect from last year and then two other songs (the titles of which I've forgotten!), as we've come to expect Patti was awesomely fantastic. As Spike Edney said ... Talk about X Factor, Cheryl Cole, suck on that! Jeff Scott Soto, Marion Bell, Toyah, Geoff Goldman (another highlight for me being a long time 10CC fan) Roy Wood (with late rendition of I Wish It Could Be Christmas Every Day) and Roger Taylor all made guest appearances and each were superb. Patti came back towards the end of the show to guest wioth Roger Taylor on Under Pressure and took a major role in the show closing song We Will Rock You/We Are The Champions. It's always great to see Patti back on these shores, and last night was no exception. |
cool

Fantastic night, I don't think there are words to describe how good Patti was! Absolutely sensational
|
glad you had a good time, was disappointed i couldnt make it,especially as i am so close to the venue
any pics ? |
Yet again there was confusion over photography...we were told by countless people at the venue that cameras couldn't be used and they really enforced it, so no pics of the first half of the show. We were then told that we could use cameras so long as we weren't filming so got a few pics later on, mine are pretty dark but will fish a couple out so you get the jist
|
ok thanks Lucy, seems to be a lot of confusions at most venues with pictures now.Was the show a sell out ?
|
Here's a few pics, not great but they'll do! Will leave Andy to post the Jeff Scott Soto pics for the ladies, very nice!

Just found this on the Queen forum;

I'm guessing there's a lot missing though. (Obviously not the Roger songs...i think they got them pretty spot on :p) |
A lot missing but all the bloody names have fallen out of my head lol Patti did Respect and another but the name of it completely escapes me, Madaline Bell did a fantastic version of Rehab, and another one with the percussion solo in the middle and the 'da da da da' bit...i really need to get my brain in order :?
|
I can never remember the set list at concerts either Lucy. i think it's hopeless unless you scribble them down as they happen. I think it's something to do with being in the moment. Well that's my excuse!
|
Patti looks stunning as always .
Thanks for sharing these with us Lucy!. |
Some of the songs missing from the above set list were ...
James Toseland / Crash also performed a U2 cover, think it was Vertigo, but not 100% on this. Respect - Patti (as previously mentioned) Move On UP - Madeline Bell (The Da da da da dadada / percussion break song) Dreadlock Holiday - Graham Goldman Rubber Bullets - Graham Goldman Of the songs that didn't feature Patti, Don't Stop Me Now and A History of Rock and Roll in 28 Riffs were highlights of the night, alongside the 10cc songs I mentioned in my post last night. |
Just to add to the set list:
Tie Your Mother Down (Jeff Scott Soto) I Wish (Jeff Scott Soto) .....bit later... For Your Love (Graham Gouldman) Dreadlock Holiday (Graham Gouldman) Rubber Bullets (Graham Gouldman/Mick Wilson) .....even more later... California Man (Roy Wood) Blackberry Way (Roy Wood) I Wish It Could Be Christmas Every Day (Roy Wood) I think it's just a case of pieceing it all together. Awww so glad it was a good night. Shame about the numbers though. |

Can any photo's being uploaded be resized first? I'm losing valuable bandwith downloading a picture that's automatically going to get resized anyway. Pud  |
Ohhh sorry, are they massive??? They're the first pics I've had off this camera so no idea what's coming off it....who am I kidding, could have had the camera from birth and I still wouldn't know how these things work!
|
For those who display Yorkshire traits and don't want to waste anything, including Bandwidth, pics have been linked rather than embedded ... all that extra clicking will do you good :))
