If you but the new album the video is included on the bonus disc, along with lots of other bonus material- a few video, some audio, a bio and a picture gallery. It's a great value for the cost!

Does anyoine know where the 'inspiration' came for this video? I'd be interested to know if Fireball had any input into it, and if not who came up with the concepts.

Badger,
as I recall the vision for the video was the director's, Martin Weiss. I remember reading he always wanted to suspend a car in the air.

My own personal opinion, the video is just goofy. I can appreciate something that is different, but that doesn't do it for me. To each his own...

I like everything about this video except the bit where ML is sitting on the prayer mat with the candles. The effect with the candles is very cool, but the choice of clothing for ML seems very odd to me. It looks a bit like a German folk costume, but maybe I'm just not aware of what it's really intended to be. It's a bit jarring, considering that the other wardrobe in the video for him is outstanding- very retro, smooth and cool. Just my opinion, for what it's worth.

Where Meat is sitting amongst the candles, I think of him as a Buddha and all of us fans worshipping him? :D

mariella 11 May 2003 23:38

Yes, he certainly is a Great Buddha!

thanks for the info Tbuck.

Does anyone think the candles are supposed to form a shape around Meat? First glance I thought they looked a bit like the outline of Texas.....but then again it was late!

I'll have another look now I think.
