Rhydian DOES do Meat Loaf

Not A Dry Eye In The House!

RadioMaster 22 Nov 2008 11:45

its not that great

ChrisBelfast 22 Nov 2008 11:59

There was a clip of this out ages ago, think Pudding has it in his blog last month so check it out there, might still be streaming on Rhydians site though?

Kev 22 Nov 2008 12:06

I dunno, I thought it was alright.

RadioMaster 22 Nov 2008 12:21

considering the amount of press covering about him working with Mr Steinman on this album, and him doing AFL on x factor it think it's a bit of a let down that on the whole album is 'just' not a dry eye as the only Meat/Jim related track.

it sounds alright, but nothing spectacular to me

Kev 22 Nov 2008 13:11

That was all paper talk due to him doing the one track. I don't think any plans were ever coming from it.

ryidan

hey all just seen that ryidan from last year's x factor has got "not a dry eye in the house" on his new album, anyone heard what it is like?

Monstro 23 Nov 2008 19:41

HELP please just listened on puddings bit and it hurts my ears someone put a cork in Rhydian's mouth to stop him singing

Ma.Ra 24 Nov 2008 20:54

This version is such a massive epic fail.....

allrevvedup 24 Nov 2008 21:13

sounded like a combination of meat loaf and jimmy sommervile at the start...the rest wasn't as bad as i thought it would be.

bobbin 25 Nov 2008 07:54

i thought it was a pretty respectable attempt, it is of course a 'meat' song' so i dont think we will ever hear a better version of that, but to be fair i dont think he slaughtered it, lacked alot of emotion though.

better than his AFL performance anyway

I basically agree with that

Kev 26 Nov 2008 10:41

He hits a fantastic note at about the 4 minute mark, it's about 10 seconds long.

emma811981 26 Nov 2008 12:39

I also didnt rate the version much either

Pudding 26 Nov 2008 21:49

When I hear Rhydian sing it reminds me of a goat. His version of NADIETH is pretty mediocre at best.

Pud

duke knooby 26 Nov 2008 22:59

well i wasn't a fan of meats version... and rhydian doesn't improve upon it
