An idea for October...

Ok, For those of you who may not know or those of you who may know and don't care or just for those of you...

I will be 30 on the 20th October...

Two pics by the way to prove I'm all for equality.

Anyway with this in mind, and this is my mind, I am thinking about doing something reasonably big somewhere in Dublin.

I haven't booked anywhere yet as to be honest I am just sounding people out with the idea and I wondered if any of you would be interested in coming over, making a weekend trip to Dublin out of it and just have a crazed alcohol fueled night

Since the 20th is on a Monday the 18th would be the best date and as of now I'm thinking about trying to book some function room of a pub and inviting a lot of people.

So let me know what you think and I suppose I can take it from there...as i say it's on at the thinking out loud stage

The Flying Mouse 15 Jul 2008 18:15

 Thinking out loud, alcohol is good, and never been to Dublin, so who knows

Wouldn't be able to confirm one way or the other at the moment though.

allrevvedup 15 Jul 2008 18:17

i can't even confirm that I have somewhere to stage all this craziness...which is why i'm putting it out there now, with a few well chosen updates when appropriate...but yeah alcohol = good:D

RadioMaster 15 Jul 2008 18:42

can i perform A Kiss Is A Terrible Thing To Waste??

allrevvedup 15 Jul 2008 18:44

Only if Bubbles is watching you perform it...so you have to make it heartfelt this time:D

 If i'm there, i'll bring the Zoom backing track.
It's a thousand times better than the one put out by Sunfly.
I would have let you use that track at Wembley, but believe it or not, the KJ (karaoke jockey for those unfamiliar with the term  ) didn't have a CD player with him :wtf:
Was all worked off a laptop.

probably...i'll just stick to beer

Hypnobabe 16 Jul 2008 15:52

Sounds great in theory, will have to confirm nearer the time, but I'd love to go to Dublin!!

allrevvedup 25 Aug 2008 19:40

There may be a change of plan...

Howdy, at the moment I'm being quoted some crazy pricesfor renting places in and around the city centre.

So I am starting to think that what might be a better idea would be to hold the night in Liverpool...that way people that would be coming from Ireland could plan their own trips as such and it would be easier for more people from here and my Uni friends in england, to come up.

As I say right now it is just an alternative, there's one place in Dublin that I think would make a great venue for a party but i'm just waiting for them to come back to me over availability.

Will let you know...

RadioMaster 25 Aug 2008 19:45

I'm not gonna set a foot into Liverpool after I've seen The 51st State!

allrevvedup 25 Aug 2008 19:49

you think Liverpool will let you in? after all you think it's christmas!

UPDATE

Ok, well i've come to a decision about one part of the night...

I'm going to Church on the 18th October...literally.

http://www.thechurch.ie/

It was a church from the 18th Century and subsequently bought and refurbished in 1997, it's been opened as a bar/cafe/nightclub since 2005, it's a really nice place good relaxed atmosphere and for Dublin it's not too expensive for a pint...

So there'll be a section in the night club area reserved for us from 8 until 10.30pm and then after that it opens for the night...and they kick us out around 3am...

So if you're interested in coming over let me know, i might still be doing something slightly smaller in liverpool the weekend before that, but i will let you know.
